I NEVER used tha cloak, its for scared fagots that uses shotgun, they use it to backstab noobs and cloak back when they get shot by experianced players. come on now i average freaking 30 to 45 kills in a dom with a C-1 scout and a RR n those bitches run away like fags n come back from my back n then they press R1, pouf, dead.deadly BEHAVIOrFatal Absolution Yeah, Fatal FAGsolution GO fluck yourself beech, those ppl cant aim properly they miss about 3/2 of the time n i can kill them. NEVER i got killed by a shotgun from the front. I have this to say about the combat ranges in the game: In the 'old style' the shotgun and the sniper rifle were 5 (arbitrary) range echelons apart. In the 'new style' they are 2 (arbitrary) range echelons apart. I think this contributes substantially to the perception that the cloak is "the problem" when it has been part of the shifting manifolds reducing the perception of range control in the game; stemming from map redesigns, weapon balances, suit balances, buffed eHP on most suits, etc. At this stage, I'd say that more open space and lower cover in some levels/installations would give more of a fair look at the effects of the cloak. I've run all the levels currently in play with and without a cloak, and before they cloaking device, scouting required those hemmed in spaces, but now the cloak means scouting is effective even with long, open crosses. Just food for thought. I used to be a trainer, now I'm a terror. Proto doesn't matter vs. knives...

There isn't a single match where I fail to kill a player while he is trying to sneak up on me with a cloak. After so long it's hard to believe people still have such a hard time spotting them. The biggest crutch of all is the RE on the Gal Scout though. Completely dampened, cloaked, and able to frisbee toss an RE 20 ft is pretty difficult to counter if you are involved in a chaotic battle. You can mow down people at range with impunity (bar lucky Sniper Rifle shots). I know this as I do it with a pimped out CK0 with a RR. The cloak is not the major issue, nor the shotty, it's the superior dampening coupled with the better sensors that make scouts so lethal. When you can wallhack and no one else cAn, that's one hell of an advantage. Hell, try swapping out the shotty with a Plasma Cannon, and go in urban. Same results due to the sensors and damp. I want you to try charging behind a big clump of enemies in the map and not get hit. If you fit a cloak, you should be a glass cannon. I am a Nova Knifer, and let me just say it is very hard to circle around the whole map just to get killed. I use the cloak to get past open fields etc. where a guy may find me and pick me up from afar. But if I find a guy, it's usually easier to not use the cloak. Some idiots use cloaks and run straight into a mob of guys acting like they are invisible. When they fail miserably, they go onto the forums and complain about people who can use the cloak well, and how they can't (of course they don't mention that, pride=everything). But meh.
