There's nothing more CQC and nothing more brawly than punching a heavy in the face, and CQC brawling is what the Gallente Assaults love to do. Gallente Assault having a bonus to Melee also really doesn't make much sense to me, but that might be because all my Melee fits are Winmatar aside from one Calmando Melee fitting. The Minmatar Commando has well enough speed with two Complex KinCats, and having two MyoStims really buffs up the Melee Damage. If things get sticky, well you've got two light weapons for back-up. Same set-up with the Minmatar Sentinel, but you need three MyoStims and you've got a damn HMG for back-up. Minmatar Scout is no joke either, being able to Melee directly from being cloaked is a big plus. Throw a Complex Damp and a Red and a Green pill and you're set. Bring along a weapon or two if you want, but it shouldn't be used all that much. I haven't done anything much in the way of Melee with the Min Assault yet. Oh, and I have a Calmando fit that does 990 Melee damage. It's slow and dies a lot, but when you land those punches it's glorious. Killing Heavies with a single punch never gets old. Melee has massive hit detection issues and is not a very effective form of combat in Dust. Melee really needs to be tweaked as a whole, and not just given as bonus to one single suit(although I suppose the Min Scout has one, but it's only very slight). I'm just a little passionate about Melee in video games, especially shooters. The only online shooter I've played that does Melee well is Mass Effect 3, and oh my god is it great fun. *FIRE UP THE HEAVY MEAT GRINDER! WE'RE HAVING CLONE BURGERS TONIGHT, BOYS!*
