I never really got this straight, how does precision vs dampening work? Do the numbers round to the nearest whole number? Do they always round up? In the case of a tie, the dampener defeats the scanner, right? Help me out here.

My understanding is the dB rounds to the nearest tenth, then in the event of a tie, the scanned as opposed to the scanner wins. |

Well, when rounded to the nearest tenth, both numbers come out to be 97.2, so I, the scammed, should defeat the scammer in this instance of a tie.

They are rounded to the nearest whole number. If it's a tie the scanner wins. |

I am tolerably certain that it's to the nearest whole number.
There was a fair bit of testing done by the scout registry previously.
You have long since made your choice. What you make now is a mistake.

In looking at the CCP spreadsheet that was provided for Delta, it does appear it's rounded to the nearest whole number.
What about the tie? Who wins? |

Denizens of the Barbershop tested it and concluded that ties go to the scanner, as far as I know. |

Base scan precision isn't 40. It's 35. Fail.

I believe Profile is 35, Precision is 40.

Thank you.
Have to run some more tests......and update my own version of this data.
What's really odd is that when we tested the calculations based on my (mistaken) assumptions, they appear to result in the same results (i.e. who is scanned and who is not).
Thanks again....Leadfoot |

Thanks again....Leadfoot Most definitive test I ran was using against a Vehicle Scanner and getting my profile to match exactlyGǪ they could still see me as soon as I was a whole number under they could not. But that was way back in HAV 514GǪ have not done a more recent test, but as far as I know the basics have not changed.
