Its been five months since announcement, and the most recent devblog still talks about Legion in "if" terms.
Woohoo! Legion is dead.

Stuff can be in project status for a really long time. There's no real precise time table for this stuff.

Yeah...I think some kinda CCP acknowledgement would be good. Even a simple "still here!" would be good. We definitely don't want another WoD.

Personally I could care less if Legion fails miserably. Just port Dust to the PS4. Problem solved!

The ps3 is using a different architecture than the ps4 porting it would take sometime and as shown by CCP's optimization on the PS3 it would be awhile. Since CCP hasn't said anything about porting it seems they won't do it at this point. |

That won't do any good nor will it accomplish anything productive. There are a lot of players out there like me who have adopted a "show us rather than tell us" mentality. If Legion isn't even remotely ready yet, then a simple "hey, we're still working on it" is not going to change our attitude towards Legion's progress unless CCP posts actual data to back up such a simple comment such as screenshots or maybe a video of the work in progress showing what they didn't show before.

So, basically you do want acknowledgement but you want a BIG one, like gameplay or screenshots or a live showcase. In which case, we're on the same page but at different levels of expectations.

Exactly. If my expectations are a little high for you, that's because of my previous experience with CCP. If you have known CCP for as long as I have (since 2008 with Eve Online) you would understand.

I think what has confused players is that we initially had a lot of back and forth with developers regarding Legion and then absolutely nothing.

By my guestimations, legion has been in project status for under a year now. What makes you think its in devlopment hell? My guess was the rouge wedding messed up legion for getting green light that very day. Valk got green light cause of the reaction it got, legion's reaction was awesome... then CCP screwed it up but not saying anything about dust.
TBH, I'm k with them not saying anything, as they don;t say anything about valks progress, though you can play the same demo over and over.
Pretty much relax for a bit, it took ccp a total of 4-5 years to make Dust. You have waited not even a full year for legion updates |

I'm not asking for a fancy demo, or pictures, or a weekly blog or any of that.
All I am asking for from CCP is a simple "Yes, Legion is being made". From someone other than the CPM. (i.e. The devs).
On the other hand... A simple "X" would be sufficient.
