I believe we should take the opportunity with Legion to move the game closer to Eve, we all agree Dust and Eve should be playable without interacting with one another. I think though when it comes to interaction between the games it should be far less optional. For instance Orbital strikes after you get passed the care bear fun the only option should be Eve strikes (Which I believe it already is correct?) but take it a step further, Eve based Warbarges and for the love of god Shanghai tell CCP Seagull that when they deal with the issues of stations or destroying stargates, involve Dust mercenaries as the solution. No one in Eve has to deal with Player owned stations, but when you get to those levels make the game integrated on that level.
Use Legion as a chance to further integrate these games.

It actually would be nice if the only way you can get OB strikes in Low sec is with Eve player help (obviously) or just setting up Killsats around the planets in a system much like POCOs and letting people use it if they pay a fee.

OMG I had not thought of that what a fantastic idea. When ever the devs poke their heads in here again I hope they see that. The only balance issue I see is that take a corp like fatal absolution it would be easy for them to expand (Or partner with) another large corporation and place killsats above all the major battlegrounds and charge exorbitant prices to everyone but themselves.

Make them flimsy, something that could be 1 volleyed by a T1 fit T3 BC like a nado that could be the balance

Possibly but that would make them highly impractical in the long term. Also I do not know if you are an Eve player or not but for those who aren't I add in that structures like this in Eve usually have a reinforcement mode which makes them invulnerable until a certain amount of time has passed, thus allowing for a defense to be organized. I assume a killsat would have a similar mechanic. Basically as I hinted at in my post https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=177658&find=unread it would come down to who ever controls the orbit controls the ground. Because imagine playing a match in Dust where one side and only one side had access to orbital strikes, now imagine moving it closer on the realism scale and having them have access to them when they needed them, it would end badly.
It is an issue which bears thinking because the WP system would not work as well in open world (anyone could get enough points if they played long enough). I still maintain the best environments to start with are space based ones, stations (Abandoned and non eve accessible ones) , asteroid colonies, wrecks, killsats, etc.

TBH, I was picturing the killsats to be more like Mobile Depots or MTUs than like POCOs.
Cheap, easily replacable, I mean, c'mon, it is a free floating POS gun (that can only fire on the planet) for all intents and purposes.
People pop MTUs for lulz, POCOs require more organization to pop them for lulz.

There is actually a asset in Eve (test server I believe) that is a Killsat, the thing is not much is known about it other than a model asset that I remember seeing, it appeared along side alot of noteworthy things that have never seen the light of day.
I think they might be better served if they acted like the mobile depot http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/better-living-through-mobile-structures/.

I thought depots had reinforcement timers to. I don't know I have very little use for them.

Downside to it would be the upkeep of Ammo and lack of multiple guns.

I don't see that as very much of a downside, I mean, if you're not going to actively protect it (which would indicate that you're able to keep it supplied), it will be popped anyway.
I know, kinda defeats the purpose but do you really such a lack of conflict?

In high sec the battles that dust/ future legion players are in are merely fights between corporations. I don't think Concord would ever need to get involved in our fights in high sec space, only if the fight breaks out to a certain point.

Why even separate the game? Log into Eve as a pilot, walk around your sealed up CQ's in Eve Online. Select your match, the next loading screen is actually the unreal engine loading while your in Eve- complete integration with lovely loading screens. But it can be made seamless in the Eve Client switching over to the Legion client. Now get off my pirates yard! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

All i want is to be able to use all eve games (eve, legion and valkyrie) in one fight, a little like the prophecy trailer from fanfest, except not just boarding stations as legion mercs.
Instead i'd like to be able to be deployed onto a planet by valkyrie pilots using transport ships, which are deployed by eve pilots in carriers. Then the legion mercs are free to walk around the planet (which is actually a planet not just a little map) and drop installations wherever they're needed which are either bought for isk or made by eve pilots, and then the legion mercs start to take over the planet by killing everyone and/or hacking control panels in each major outpost/city.
Also legion had better have the paint bucket that was supposed to be in dust at uprising, i want to be in an army that has a uniform.
Also also, there had better be no limit to how many ppl can be in a fight, i don't want any small teams of no-lifers taking over planet after planet, they should get killed by an army of several hundred legion mercs on a battlefield.

This will not happen. Dust 514 players cannot and will never accept that if we are integrated into New Eden battles will not be fair 16v16's.
