Chats take an awful amount of time to load.
Well not long in average daily life sense, but long in gameplay and computer way.
But a computer should really not have to generate a list of sixteen players on a scale measured in seconds.
Because it can take as much as five seconds, maybe more.
First of all, that's bad user experience.
Second (with already minimal time in warbarge, there's practically no time for people to get into squads, let alone form new ones) it slightly handicaps juniors or other people without premade squad.
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

No, there are only 8 pictures, 4 races * 2 genders.
BTW, i never understood why the chat channel automatically pass from where you are to team, that's really annoying and even if it pass it does not automatically load the list of players, you have to change channel and go back.
I'm a workaround

Blue and red background (choosable), closed beta glare on top left corner and without.
x2 and x2.
Although nowadays everyone seem to have the glare, but there definately are glare-less versions in existence.
