Don't know how much SP I have accumulated (passive SP untouched since FF2014), need to log on later to check, but it is definately enough for a new proto dropsuit.
Which assault should I skill into? ;)

Would also like to mention that I was Cal assault since closed beta, then switched to gal scout when it became obviously so much better.

Eh, there are much better suits than assault. If you still want to get an assault suit try Amarr. Amarr suits may put back some relevance in using laser weapons. They're still good, just the overheating factor sets them back but otherwise they're totally overpowered. |

What weapon you like plays the biggest role of course, but here are some other factors. Minmitar - Fastest - OP weapon - balanced D - long range Amarr - slowest - extra armor - long range Gallente - passive armor repair - short range - looks cool Caldari - Fast shield regain - very strong weapon - longest range - looks meh
If I were going to choose one right now for best overall performance I would go with the guys that said minmitard > Caldari > Amarr = Gallente.

CR is no longer OP. Just had to tell you.
I like them all though and regardless of what people say they are all about equal. I'd pick one based on your play style.

If you are used to using strafing to survivie, the minmatar assault is the one to go with. You can shield/ferroscale tank and still be able to strafe extremely fast.
In the amarr assault you will strafe horribly, so you need a ton of HP because you will get hit way more often.

Like in eve you have the guristas and the blood raiders. We already have their lav's I wonder if dropsuits will come into play =)

Well, gal scout is probably a better speed tanking assault than minmatar still, so I might go for the Amarr. Rawr.

Better suits, such as? Heavy?
I considered running min heavy with HMG as an assault CQC suit. Could that work?
