Maybe a special armor chevron? Chest, backplate, or shoulder emblem that can be added or removed in the form of switching bpo suits. I just suggested something similar, but for many things. Beta vet, 100,000 kills, tournament awards, pc status, so many dom wins, so many skirms, etc etc etc. Basically purchasable achievements that must be earned, and are wearable to signify a specific achievement in Dust. |

There's also a portion of players who waited for the closed beta and when it came, their code didn't work so they had to wait for open. I felt cheated out of the experience by the error and had to wait even longer.

Because we put the money into making the game you are enjoying now. Put up with loads of seriously fked up glitches and bugs and have given loads of feedback.
We have also stayed with the game through thick and thin and adapted with it. Helped train and grow the game. Without us, the launch would have been a nightmare for new players and no one would have known anything.

If you are a beta player that has never spent a cent on dust you are part of the reason why we had a red wedding at fanfest.

I'm going to have to go with. Swarm laucher shotgunning, skirmish 1.0, expensive fatsuits, and last ditch effort shooting the enemy MCC with everything from scrambler pistols to forgefuns. Also if you had a PS3 melt prelaunch, that's more of a nod to the people who didn't let that slow them down though. |

Do you honestly think an entire portion of the player base should get free BPOs?
I don't.
If you want to get rewarded for supporting the game, buy BPOs. Beta vets usually get exclusive emblems, or vanity items. Not usable stuff.
Maybe vets could get a free skin for their starter suits... That's about as far as I could see something like that going. |

Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.

In most mmos I have played have had something like the no longer obtainable speeder I have that I had to work my ass off for in swtor after launch, and you guys have a ton of stuff like that. I have never received anything for testing at best I don't even remember what game it was, but they didn't reset our toons at launch of course I have never tested a free game before unless you count what we are doing now for legion lol.

i think anyone closed Mordus private trials and before should get something to help standout a little. we're a small bunch now of the guys from back in the beginning and a little recognition would be greatly appreciated. doesn't have to be a BPO perhaps even just a small trophy or a scroll/banner ect on the wall in merc quarters would be nice or even a forum tag.
also while we're on the subject of gifts.... i'm still hoping we get a 'Santa' Amarr Sentinel A-I at somepoint  y'know a nice little Red and White sentinel for xmas

also the Exile was a kinda closed beta thing too until it was released in the original starter pack and as a freebie at PAX2012/13 still love my skinweaves though. the minmatar frame does look pretty great in the warbarge

I would honestly like a quafe scout suit bpo based on the ones i have from previous events. I refuse to use the ones I have as they are proto and I only have 23 of them.

Why do closed beta players feel like we deserve something? For one we put up with **** you couldn't imagine and while you were all playing cod and bf3 we were playing a buggy ass beta trying to fix it. What were you doing again? Oh yeah waiting for this game to get past that terrible point before playing. I remember when we could only play on the weekends and every other game hard-froze. Do we deserve something? No but we deserve a lot more than you, even if it's just credit for what we did. Not a lot of players from that time stuck around but some did.

They're MLT and ugly, or were unless they've been changed I haven't looked in a while. they're green a white. they look pretty cool especially the minmatar one. i just want teh eon/primordial/fossil/thale/venom bpos colours fixed now and please make my C-II less ugly i was promised a gold tint but its a dull ass grey with no gold you have a C-II ???

Or he made 50 alt accounts and grinded 100-150 matches on each one
I still have yet to hit 100k on any of my spy/antagonist accounts.

i paid a lot of people a lot of isk to use my link for any alts or for any friends who joined to use my link. i think 1b isk was a fair price for a unique suit
oh and my 10yr old son held me to ransom on the last recruit... he now has a ps4 for xmas pmsl

Then we all trained hundreds and hundreds of newbs in uprising and spent ages doing a lot in game and on the forums that has kept the game going this far.
Not to mention that a fraction of mordus legion players even still play.

The real sht storm came in uprising when all of a sudden, we had thousands of newbs who knew nothing and it was up to us to get them clued up and keep them in the game.
We all put a lot of time in to make up for the complete lack of NPE.

I bought a lot of merc packs from that time too. But yes the uvt was major BS.

No, that last part isn't true. If CCP advanced their game fast enough when they could they would make more money. Also the free to play micro transaction is to get a lot of players and have others over time pay for the ones who don't and more.
Beta testers who don't pay aren't killing the game, they are just not paying because they don't have to. And EVEs profit pays for Dust's development not our 2000 strong community.

On the flip side....They gave out gifts to Eve players in the 10th ani. I imagine we undoubtedly due for something special in the far flung future.
