bring back the competitive participants in pub matches. I do hope that the mercs whom left will return and make pub matches that intense memorable battles of before.
No matter, I gotta say its pretty cool how CCP has been making the turnaround since FF. They said no more client side updates, yet here we are looking at blog by Rattati and Rouge on the upcoming 1.9. That's pretty ******* awesome to me.
What do you hope for with 1.9?

well we know rouge is from EA so i would take anything he says with a grain of salt. we all know how ea handles things.
rattati on the otherhand seems somewhat competent considering he accomplished more than the entirety of shanghai has over the last 5 years. if he says he can do it or is looking at its worth taking into consideration.
that aside, i seriously doubt many people would return to dust because of one extremely delayed update that may or may not even occur.
the reason many people left supercedes mere updates. they felt the game wasnt going anywhere which was confirmed and it was never going to be the game they expected in 2009 when dust was announced. if ccp manages to get free roam, pve, and drones and such into the game and redo pc completely and establish a meaningful link between this game and eve online where we can intereact with capsuleers then maybe dust could have a small resurgence of old players.
Don't vote for iron wolf saber.
Vote for someone who will help the community i.e. anyone else.

It seems like the intention is for FW to be where the competition is, and not Pub matches.
I am just glad the Sprint Glitch will be fixed.
And the NPC Market.
And the new maps.
It looks all around awesome.

Assault flaylock pistol would be neat. Other than that I desire like everyone else new maps, vehicules, weapons and more in-game content. |

competative? pub? try not being a protostomper in a squad of protostompers when it comes to pub matches.. try run standard only.. or better yet.. go do FW and have all 4 factions highlighted so its a random pick on which faction will bend you over (or you bend them over)

They didn't say no client side updates; that's an urban legend. They said that they updates were not ruled out but that they were going to focus on server side updates for a while.

Honestly, you're being a negative nancy. While I commend Rattati for his work, he didn't do it alone. Rouge being from EA? So what? We are getting a client side patch. Let's appreciate that. Trying to bring some storm clouds when there's a bit of sun out isn't cool.
I don't know about the carbon on PS4. No matter how powerful people feel PS4 is, it will still probably melt even the PS4. I wouldn't mind being shocked though.

C'mon you guys are really trying to ruin the thread here. Every thread you have a chance to say it, you say protostompers as if you're the girl from Deuce Bigelow.
Maybe you weren't around then, but matches back then were fun, down to wire and purely epic. Yea I got a couple of bruises, but I enjoy the tough challenges. It makes me stronger and better at the game. It was strictly protostompers all day every day. They mainly hung out in Ambush to farm.

You don't remember it. I do. They definitely did said no client side patches. What you are talking about is when Rattati clarified their position (whether they changed their minds or not, its besides the point) on client side updates. They were very clear on it. Rumors flew around about CCP having trouble with Sony guys.
