Slightly improved performance, slightly higher fitting requirements, noticeably more expensive (x5 - x10 as much as proto gear). What are your opinions on such a feature?

I have nothing against it, it is a solid idea. However getting enough support to push it through will be an issue as there is already an insane amount of protostomping QQ as it is. Which is why I opted to go with increasing current costs. It comes with it's own issues, like gear stockpiles and low SP players complaining further about how hard it is to use what they unlocked, but it seemed more practical sinceit requires nothing else be added to the game, thus making it more likely. Well its still sort of the same idea, you can't use laser weapons without the heat sinks which are clips and we Minmatar can't fire our weapons without projectile rounds which usually come in a clip The heat sink and projectiles are easily disposable and used quite quickly in the battlefield Supporter of EVE LEGION
