Personally, if I want to rack up a huge number of kills I'll - fly my incubus with missiles
But if I want to score a huge number of kills as infantry, I go Gal-Assault with Combat Rifle.
My Gal Assault has the HP to ignore that first shotgun blast from some cloaked scout. I have the reaction speed to turn around and target them. Then I have the DPS to kill him before he can kill me.
Certainly if I want to feel more secure, I can use any of my prototype sentinel suits, but usually I need an LAV or a ***** Logi to keep me stocked on ammo. Scouts are just easy kills with my HMG, even using the STD HMG on my Templar Sentinel.
Of course, heavies are easy targets for scouts, because most try to use that HP as their defense and then spray and pray with the HMG. The secret is to have high controller sensitivity so they can't dance around you, but people with terrible aim need it lower and get so very mad when a scout dances around them and tries to vilify them in such predictable ways, mostly by claiming things that are false as reality or exaggerating things without any disclaimer.
If you know what you're doing, when a Sentinel and a Scout are near each other, the Sentinel just chuckles at all the WPs gained.
Logistics suit is great for WP farming. . . still able to get plenty of kills but it's just not good at being a Slayer Logi anymore. That's why they need a buff. All the Logistics players finally gave up on trying to get the most kills and are finally paying attention to their ******* terrible skill bonus and how just a single enhanced EQ is not enough.
But the Scout suit. I roll with that for a bunch of different reasons.
Trolling is the best. Specifically going after just a single player on the other team just isn't possible with the other suits.
Defending a point. I'll be honest, I'm not a true slayer. That requires a far more aggressive play-style than I enjoy. I like to sit around and ambush people as they lose sight of the enemy because they focus on taking an objective.
Winning faster. Most skirmishes aren't going to end from cloning the other team, best way to finish the game is to put on the scout suit and take the objectives. Hackspeed bonus or dampening to get in and out, then kill people as they try to counter-hack
My favorite thing though, is killing a cloaked scout when they have that look of "How the hell did you see me, I was invisible" when they don't know how pathetically easy it is to spot that shimmering blue outline. Best is with a Forge Gun, they think it's a fluke and try the same path again, then kill them with another forge shot, then see if they try that a third time. Most scouts are dumb enough to do it.
And that's why Scouts are easy kills. They actually think the cloak field makes them invisible instead of translucent and rely upon it.
