1 complex light booster
1 enhanced heavy extender
1 complex afterburner
1 xt missile
1 enhanced pg upgrade

It's less about feeling safe than it is to get to a spot you're needed to me. Granted, it is about getting the hell out of there, but in ADS current situation, I find it best to sacrifice a little tank to duck behind a building faster, and to be able to do it more often. It also helps with the hit and run aspect of the ADS I use it a lot for.
Another issue to take into consideration is if you're providing a window for your team to attack a point in a match, the AB will get you, and whoever you're transporting there faster.
Aside from that, after Delta dropped I no longer felt any guilt about using my AB, I spam it whenever I can. I guess it comes down to a matter of preference.
