I have made some absolutely terrible decisions when it comes to my skill choices. I have my school. Scattered all over the place and there is no one to blame but myself. If I had a chance to redo them I know exactly where I would put them. No, I don't want, nor do I "deserve", a respec. I messed up and now I have to face the consequences. Just so everyone is clear, I do not want a respec....
I have rolled a new character and I am looking for advice. This is what want a some skills (I think) that would be useful towards my goal.
Dropsuit (x1) Minmatar Medium Frame (ADV) (I have this already.) Minmatar Logistics (PRO) (eventually)
Dropsuit Upgrades (x2 currently) Shield Extender (x1 currently) Shield Regulator (x1 currently) Nanocircuitry (x2 currently) Repair Tool (x1 currently)
The dropsuit themselves, seems to be pretty self explanatory. Can I get some help with the modules?
I am Caldari, but that does not mean I support our alliance with the Amarr..

The Minmatar Medium Frame is garbage, trust me when I say that investing into the Assault variant is worth it.
As for Modules, if you're going to go for MinAssault you'll want the following modules:
- Armor Plates
- Armor Repairers
- Shield Extenders
- Shield Regulators
- Shield Rechargers / Energizers
- Kinetic Catalyzers
As you probably noticed, all Minmatar suits (except Basic Frames & ADV Commandos) have an even slot layout, which allows them to focus primarily on a balance between both Shield & Armor fittings.
Also, may I ask what your goal is? I can give you some more advice on how to reach it.

The Minmatar logistics is very versatile. I've been trying a super speed hack fit with 4 complex hacking mods recently. It seems to always die, but not before I get that sweet sweet hack off...hehe.
What ever you do, DO NOT spec past level 3 of the basic suits. If you are going for logistics, get level 3 Minmatar medium suits, then go straight for the Minmatar logistics skills.
Don't forget your passive skills - like shield, armour, sensors, hacking etc...

The MInmatar Assault is so worth it. It's even better with a Submachine Gun and Combat Rifle.
You can either fit it with Kinetic Catelyzers which will make you go fast. And the Minmatar suits are the fastest in the game. So complementing their speed with even more speed can make you a hard to kill target. But you remain squishy. But if you learn how and where to run you'll be unstoppable.
Or you can dual tank it with shields and armor.

Minmatar Logistics, eh?
Well, the first thing you should do is get all your cores up to 5. That's:
- Armor Upgrades
- Biotic Upgrades
- Core Upgrades
- Shield Upgrades
- Electronics
- Engineering
Though, I understand that it'll be boring grinding out SP that doesn't unlock anything. If you think you can endure the grind, get them to five, if you can't, get them all to 3.
Minmatar is a really versatile race. They dual tank, are the fastest, and have the most innate hack speed.
I dual tank my Minmatar Mediums. To do this, you'll need:
- Armor Plating
- Shield Extension
- Shield Recharging
- Shield Regulation
Put some Reactive Plates, and a mix of every shield module to get nice regeneration and shield buffers.
That's all you need to know for modules, I guess. It's mostly up to you whether you want to unlock items at their peak with full cores, or do them all one by one at a steady pace. |

Thank you for POSITIVE feedback.
The Cor Upgrades are a really good idea. However, if I plan on going full Logistics, would it not be better to go after the nanocircuitry and repair tool skills first? At least to 3? I'm definitely going for the Logistics and the Shields but after that, I'm not sure.

Also, can do squad scans with the LAV. Pop a mobile cru in there too for fast squad deployment.
That can make up for lack of mod tank skills in the meantime.

do not use proto unless your Core/equipment/shield and armor upgrades are at 5.. or you will be throwing isk away.. rule of thumb.. have the skills to fit the suit correctly/well before you get into the suit.. #eve-logic i may suggest throwint 49k sp into getting minmatar assault L1 so you have a decent suit with sidearm for an AV fit.
As for the logi suit.. dont bother with regulator/regen.. get 1. reptool 3 2. armor plate 3 3.shield extender 3 4.armor upgrade 3 5. shield upgrade 3 6. core upgrade 3 7. electronics 2 8. engineering 2 9.nanocircuitry 3 10. uplinks 3 11. electronics 3 12. engineering 3 13. weapon of choice to Advanced. 14. dropsuit upgrade 4 15. biotics 3
i could go on... but here is a link to the Logistics Holy Bible.. and hopfully one day you will become like myself, shayz and many others before you.. a.. LogiBro..
THE LOGI CODE it gives you in-depth information and even a skillpoint plan for the first 5 million skillpoints however i disregard regulators/regen as those are useless to all except caldari suits.

Being a logi makes you a very important asset to the team. You're keeping them alive longer, even if you're carrying a Militia grade Repair Tool. However, if you're dead, you won't be able to support your team at all until you respawn.
Do what you wish, but this is just my opinion. |

Minmatar logi is a pretty alright choice, but with the current statistics in dust you'd rather want to enroll in a gallente logistics suit and the armour tanking side. A lot of the non caldari suits are going to have pretty crappy regeneration that puts shield regulation modules' potential down a notch, especially when they only start counting at advanced and up. The game has it so that you really won't survive with shields unless you have a lot of HP in the shield and very quick regeneration(The average amount of times someone needs to shoot their gun and already destroy a non heavy player's shields are around 1 or 2 button taps.... Not really defending you). Even if you want that approach, go for it. Just make sure you get the proper regeneration. Nanocircuitry is an excellent start, especially when you can get that compact one early that awards both restock(10 wp in game) and triage points(25 wp in game). You don't really want to skill into repair tools as fast as possible because only the prototype repair tools actually can heal more than one person. You can't really farm much points either from repair tools because you need to hal a lot of armour for the points, so that would just make you bound to a sentinel. Unless you have an organised squad or so where you can farm on sentinels, go for it. Since you have a suit with 3 equipment slots, you could combine the nanohives, nanite injectors and drop uplinks. Those get some good stuff early. Drop uplinks can give you the ability to make players spawn in key areas, such as behind enemy groups or by the sides or on elevated areas, or provide a team a backup so they cannot get pinned down. Carrying some stable drop uplinks cuts down on the high drop uplink Pg/Cpu usage, so those are recommended. Nanite injectors now can heal people with their shields too, so that gives you even more of a reason to get repair tools much later. As logis we won't have much survivability until when you get prototype suits, which is where we can actually tank into stuff. Our regeneration is a bit blegh and being not too fast cuts down on survivability also, so I have one important tip for you. Improve on your ewar skills as much as you can That will save our hides a lot, even to some of the scouts, but not all.(unnecessary versatility/power and all) With ewar also comes a needing of awareness. It's good as a logi to stay low, not in plain sights, and make a 360 once and a while to make sure there are not many enemies around you.
Best of luck. |
