If I had a chance to redo them I know exactly where I would put them. No, I don't want, nor do I "deserve", a respec. I messed up and now I have to face the consequences. Just so everyone is clear, I do not want a respec....
I have rolled a new character and I am looking for advice. This is what want a some skills (I think) that would be useful towards my goal.
Dropsuit (x1) Minmatar Medium Frame (ADV) (I have this already.) Minmatar Logistics (PRO) (eventually)
Dropsuit Upgrades (x2 currently) Shield Extender (x1 currently) Shield Regulator (x1 currently) Nanocircuitry (x2 currently) Repair Tool (x1 currently)
The dropsuit themselves, seems to be pretty self explanatory. Can I get some help with the modules?
Minmatar logi is a pretty alright choice, but with the current statistics in dust you'd rather want to enroll in a gallente logistics suit and the armour tanking side. A lot of the non caldari suits are going to have pretty crappy regeneration that puts shield regulation modules' potential down a notch, especially when they only start counting at advanced and up. The game has it so that you really won't survive with shields unless you have a lot of HP in the shield and very quick regeneration(The average amount of times someone needs to shoot their gun and already destroy a non heavy player's shields are around 1 or 2 button taps.... Not really defending you). Even if you want that approach, go for it. Just make sure you get the proper regeneration. Nanocircuitry is an excellent start, especially when you can get that compact one early that awards both restock(10 wp in game) and triage points(25 wp in game). You don't really want to skill into repair tools as fast as possible because only the prototype repair tools actually can heal more than one person. You can't really farm much points either from repair tools because you need to hal a lot of armour for the points, so that would just make you bound to a sentinel. Unless you have an organised squad or so where you can farm on sentinels, go for it. Since you have a suit with 3 equipment slots, you could combine the nanohives, nanite injectors and drop uplinks. Those get some good stuff early. Drop uplinks can give you the ability to make players spawn in key areas, such as behind enemy groups or by the sides or on elevated areas, or provide a team a backup so they cannot get pinned down. Carrying some stable drop uplinks cuts down on the high drop uplink Pg/Cpu usage, so those are recommended. Nanite injectors now can heal people with their shields too, so that gives you even more of a reason to get repair tools much later. As logis we won't have much survivability until when you get prototype suits, which is where we can actually tank into stuff. Our regeneration is a bit blegh and being not too fast cuts down on survivability also, so I have one important tip for you. Improve on your ewar skills as much as you can That will save our hides a lot, even to some of the scouts, but not all.(unnecessary versatility/power and all) With ewar also comes a needing of awareness. It's good as a logi to stay low, not in plain sights, and make a 360 once and a while to make sure there are not many enemies around you.
Best of luck. |
