We already fought the ones worth fighting.

It is the EVE way.
Do I need to list the ten plus ethnicities and bloodlines that comprise the Empire, making it the second most multicultural Empire in New Eden?

It is the EVE way. I do use them all*, but I only support one. *Except hideous non Amarr dropsuits. #rollingold I also find it funny you're suggesting there is a specific way to play EVE. There is indeed, at the top end of all EVE games, versatility is key. You need the versatility because of how open ended combat in EVE is. Say you only ever stuck with lasers and armour, in EVE as in DUST, you put yourself at a disadvantage when faced with different situations outside of your 'racial' MO. Your laser weaponry isn't so effective versus armour for example. In DUST, yea you can argue that you can always 'make-do' however that same mentality will not work in EVE. Especially considering how any self respecting PVP group in EVE will have many combat doctrines that require vastly differing fits and racial styles. An Amarrian Guardian armour logistics wont be any help in a fast Minmatar shield based skirmishing fleet. While we dont quite have that level of distinction is DUST yet, we are slowly getting towards that. Perhaps Legion will showcase this more. To be clear, PIE only requires Amarr dropsuits and ships. We use all weapons and various fittings that appy to a variety of combat situations. We are very self respecting in both Dust and EVE. That said, we acknowledge that we are arbitrarily putting ourselves at some disadvantages. But you know what? It's a video game. If we don't win every single battle the sun well still come up. In the end we simply enjoy the RPG elements at our disposal in this universe that so many ignore. And if you do ignore them, that's fine. We don't judge. Anyway you can play and still have fun is a viable way to play.
That being said there are typically few things Amarrian vessels cannot compete with that are used often within the sphere of Factional Warfare. In term of operations that go outside of the bounds of FW, there are fewer things that cannot be bested with a lot of armour and and a battery of Heavy Pulse Lasers.

If I was more into the Amarr thing, I would have been looking to join you guys a long time ago as I feel you dudes offer something a little bit unique in the game.

And I shall seek it. Even should I not be the Champion I will instead be the vessel that conveys His Word to all the stars of the Heavens, and that shall be enough.
