It's called communication, learn it. I understand that you give it to him straight and I don't hold that against you. You can give it to me straight any time, SoTa. ;) I'll pass, the thought of crustacean on my **** is painful.
I am not who you think I am, only but just a dream.

If you liked the Dan Brown stuff, read some James Rollins-- has a handful of stand-alone novels and ten books in a thriller/mystery series (similar to some of Ludlum's work with the Bourne series) that take cutting-edge science and creates "what-if" stories out of it. Best of all, in the Sigma series Rollins even summarizes what is "real" and what is (currently) fiction at the end of each book.
Mike Patton is the greatest singer in music. Proof

I liked the dan brown stuff the first time around... The second time around I was already used to his style of writing and the story became predictable. It was the same story just rewritten a different way. Angels and Demons = Da Vinci Code basically. The story changed, The characters changed except for the main character, and the setting changed but it still felt like the exact same story lol. I have another book by Dan Brown called The Lost symbol but I have not read it...
I do however love thriller mystery. I'll check out James Rollins. Being a Tech Nerd.. this sounds like I may just love this.

Feelings override logic, let feelings override logic when appropriate.
You are not insane. Insanity is a dysfunction of the brain, major chemical imbalance (which can be altered) or both. Some things that are classed as dysfunctional are simply different.
Your op is what it is, you are free to feel or think whatever you want.
Just don't let feelings get in the way of logic and objective thought (that is the real struggle of human kind).
A good example are religious fanatics who feel it is OK to persecute or even kill others in the name of their god. They do not think, they were brought up and told what to think, so all they are left with is feelings and any objective thought from them is tainted. Every facet of their existence is within the confines of what they have been taught to think and believe.
I can't tell you how much I have struggled with supposed intellectuals to stfu giving me their chemical impulses (feelings) as if its of some relevance. I'm interested in knowing what it is that person x is thinking, not how they feel. Feelings are not opinion or fact but facts and opinions can make us feel good.
Insane people can be delusional, not in control, hallucinate, violent, cannot be reasoned with and the rest. All humans exhibit one or more of these at varying degrees throughout life anyway but a sane person can control them.
Anyway I'm too high to start anything intellectual at all and too high to even word correctly what I am trying to say but you are fine. You'll go wrong by asking others whether you are sane or not because the word insane is chucked around far too much.
I'm so high that I can't remember if I'm even close to making any sense now so I'll leave that there lol.
PS. Only skim read it. I am high and you seem fine to me. Good luck with the book master GJR lol .

Damn right you should!
