Escapism is when you pretend you are something you are not. I play very little video games anymore and when I do, I do not get all wrapped up in them. As far as frequenting the forums, it is fun to point out how pathetic some folks are and get a rise out of them. Apparently in your case it worked. Mission accomplished.

Assault, Logistics and, at one point, the Scout. Yes, even the Flaylock. Of course, there were obvious exceptions like the HAVs, Dropships, and LAVs. But when 1.8 hit "everything changed when the Fire Nation Attacked" and I skilled into the Amarr Scout with the Dropsuit Respec. Reason being I got sick of the lack of CPU on the suit and not being able to fit it as I had previously planned. But then I fell into another mess with the Amarr Scout not having a definitive role (it only has a stamina bonus) and I came out worse than I began. But eventually it came to fruit since it got Precision bonus. Now I regret not reskilling into the Minmatar Assault as the current variant of the suit we have today far exceeds the one before 1. 8 and the Hot fixes. I find myself going into everything Amarr and Minmatar now... I sometimes fill my bathtub with Jell-o, then I proceed to curl up and pretend I'm a fetus.

Even in FW, I am assigned to teams of mixed races. There appears to be no real game mechanic that supports racial loyalty or character individuality and placement into a social hierarchy. Perhaps, if there were more EVE interaction, it would encourage role play as well. Ultimately, grinding away battle after battle does not lend itself to character development.
