Would it be possible to make active scanners work as precision/range amplifiers?
What I mean is lets say you have an active scanner equipped:
It runs for anywhere from 5-20 seconds
It increases a suits precision by 0-15% (or whatever)
It increases a suits range by 0-50% (or whatever)
Is this possible using the current game client, or no?

Been proposed before and literally everyone flipped their **** about it. In particular, Scouts. Somethin' about wanting to keep passive/active scanners separate.

Why is it that anytime you talk about anything related to scouts people flip out?
The reaction is like tanks post 1.7. You'd bring up anything (like when I made that simple post about swarms) and people flipped the hell out then too.

I actually believed that if you had an e-war fit that used scanners , that the e-war mods would increase the scanners ability to detect signals like using precision enhancers or rangers but I was told I was wrong .
It just seemed like it made sense to me .
Delta should come with a SP or infantry SP refund so that a campaign for one is not needed .

Like in another thread, scouts are complaining about how boosting scanners would mean "permascans"... that would be all well and fine if that wasn't exactly what scouts have right now, except about 50 times better than the active scanners.

So what your saying is that if you have one of these active scanners equipped, when you use it instead of just getting the snapshot scan at the scanner's precision detection level and the scanner's range, you also receive a boost to the 360 degree scan of the dropsuit you're wearing?
If the above is correct, then no.
Edit: I'm a scout, and imagine how we could abuse this on one of our equipment slots. We could supplement our ewar bonuses even more.

I'd rather see Vehicles have a Capacitor..... at this point they're the only things big enough to justify having one that represents meaningful consumption and fluctuations in power.
