Despite being traditionally Caldari Loyalist, I expanded my suits to include the Assault ak.0, as well as the Assault ck.0. Then, on one drunken evening, I used a Federation Assault G-1; and liked it.
So, I've decided to sell my soul to the devil and join the race id love to love... but capitalism.
Anyway, what im actually querying is what fits do you Gal Assaults run? I experimented with the BrAR/Ion and enjoyed it, but what of the TAR or PLC? And should I be running multiple Armor Repairers?
Regardless, Caldari > Gallente.

The PLC is much better used on the Galmando, which has excellent bonuses to it and a second light weapon slot to fit it in. The Galassault doesn't have any special bonuses for the PLC, so it's not really worth using on it.
The TAR is good on it.
I use a minimum of two armour repairers on all my Galassault fits. My preferred fit is triple rep, dual plate, with triple damage mods. Then I can have whichever plasma rifle I feel like using and an ion pistol. A flux grenade is fairly easy to fit and then equipment is a choice thing. I frequently use either active scanners or allotek nanohives.

Probably couldve worded that better. Was meant to mean I prefer Capitalism and therefore dislike the Gallente.

I use pretty much the same loadout as Arkena and it works out well.
I find If you're not running across many Scr's or LR's and don't mind doing a bit less damage you can swap for a couple extenders, the bit of bonus shields can cover you while waiting to rep up.

It's a pretty versatile suit, so match it to your play style.
If you are planning on running plasma weapons then your pretty much forced to run and gun. So as the above stated, at least 2 Armour repair mods and don't slow yourself down with plates, use a Ferroscale or reactive and at max use one basic plate.

I use some kincatted fits but at that point it's often better to use an assault scout.

Ah, I discovered the same heretic pleasure.
Only 1 lvl skilled into G-1 Medium Frame, and it's a go-to suit in Ambush especially.
Medium Frame G-1
Enhanced DMG
Breach/Standard AR
Ion Pistol/SMG
Flux Nade
Enhanced Armor Repair
2X Complex Ferroscale Plates
or
3X Complex Reactive Plates
Went 15/1 with this once.
Give the Magsex some love.

Gallente's economy is actually pretty good.
CCP holds the Caldari's hand so this doesn't happen again.

Arkena is a Creodron kind of guy, so he won't mind being slow and tanky.
However me and Cat Merc are more like Duvolle, fast and aggressive. I love my Kin Cats

It's just that once you start kincatting up assault scouts start to become better at that sort of thing.

You've made a good decision! Gassault is da best. I usually run All AR variants with flay lock or toxin on it. Done that since uprising

the TAR is useless now since the buff to breach... try breach ar and breach smg.

On my gk.0 I run 3-4 plates the rest regulators on my lows, and I use shield boosts and energizers for my highs. I like the reg assault much more than the variants the breach isn't bad, but with the dispersion of ARs that low rate of fire gets me killed in CQC; As for shooting down the sights the reg AR seem to be just as efficient. As for the Tar if you are cheating with turbo it is probably pretty good.

I dont use Turbo  I enjoy the TAR on the Calass so thought itd work well here, as others have said.

Well we used to be the same... The Caldari didn't like being apart of the Federation (Even the Way of the Winds tells the Caldari to be wary of the Gallente) Oh and Ark, don't give me the 'They had less people so they murdered everyone in a city." thing (More like "They raze cities for fun and only are power hungry monsters" That's closer to what she/he says (still no idea))
I'd like the Gallente and the Caldari to just stop bickering and be friends, but alas too many overlook that possibility. Amarr are the real threat... They dented the Jove (The Jove dented them too, but we know the Amarr have recovered, not so much of the Jove)
Anyway it's fine as long as you don't fight your own with it.

The TAC ar is a Horrible gun in CQC. Considering most fights end up CQC fighting for an objective its useless. After the modded controller scrubs got it nerfed you can feel it bog down as your firing in a close quarters gun fight. - I've used AR's since closed beta I can feel the difference in the guns every time they are "Balanced".
I promise you a TAC AR will not win a gun fight against an automatic in its current state unless your fighting a scrub.

You foul monster! The major scrubs are not the Caldari! they (from my experiences) are the Gallente! Really I hate seeing a Federation Commando Gk.0 sniping from the redline with a Thale. I have managed to kill one of them before, but they are a heavy and thus not easy to kill. The one I killed sent me one of my favourite hate mails!
