New nade type. None use explosive profile.
One uses the projectile profile (kinetic shock)
One uses the plasma profile.
Breaching charges are a hard counter for sentinel hardpoints given the ease of forcing CQC at control points.
Grenades are impact fused.
Grenades do 700 base damage.
Blast radius is 0.05 meters.
They are fatboy killers, nicknamed the "diet plan" grenades.
If you can't bounce it off the fatty's head it does nothing.
Before the screaming begins I will be the primary victim of these proposed weapons.
50% efficacy vs. Vehicles. |

Also as a thought, I would marry these grenades to the assault nade fitting bonus. Make it obnoxious to fit on anything else.
Assault suits are awesome, they just need a bigger toolbox. |

because we have RE's and locus grenades. I didn't suggest laser profile because we have Flux.
the idea here is it's a contact nade with a shaped charge. it blows through a single target, specifically to kill things like sentinels. It doesn't need to do collateral damage, hence you put an actual racial profile for that race's enemy.
And since the weapon is direct hit, it's not doing splash. the 25% sentinel splash resistance bonus would not apply. |

I hope so.
since it requires a direct hit spam isn't the answer. You have to land a direct hit on an HMG and either finish him off or use it as a finisher.
but no blast radius so throwing them at assaults and scouts would be hilariously pointless.
Oh wait I did suggest a 5 centimeter blast. |

OH I completely misunderstood what you said about the damage profile. Yea, I would agree with making them kinetic and plasma. Would actually work super well. Take out the splash completely, it's unnecessary. They would be coded somewhat more like binary. The projectile either hits or it does not, no need for splash at all. |

This weapon exists, its called a plasma cannon. It downs the average heavy in one, switch to your sidearm of choice to finish off the even more tanky, expensive buggers.
(Suggest KLA or better)

It's actually my intent for the plasma cannon to be better, due to giving up a light slot for the ability to OHK heavies.
these aren't intended to be OHK. They're intended to be breach charges to weaken heavies to manageable levels in CQC, not IWIN butans. |
