If you do something that is solely reliant on the other person's performance, then it's best not to do it at all, because at the end of the day you have to live with the choices you make and the consequences of your choices. People fail you all the time and they're not going to be the ones who are judged based off of your actions. Do something with complete sincerity because otherwise it's not you that's doing anything anyways. And doing whatever it is for someone else doesn't even matter, because it wasn't you. and that right there is they key. doing stuff for others is doing something for yourself without expectation of anything in return. once you are comfortable being yourself and don't base your emotions on the way other people receive you you will be fine. and as far as girls playing games men only tolerate that for so long because ain't no body got time for that we just tolerate it a little longer if the girl is hot.
