B1ack ice Holdfast Syndicate Amarr Empire 375	Posted - 2014.10.09 20:39:00 - [1] - Quote Well, since the forums are practically dead and I'm always on a soul searching campaign I thought I'd use the war room as an opportunity to reflect on some things I've been left to contemplate. Through experience, observation of real life scenarios, and never ending research into subjects that continue to badger me through the nights I have found myself wanting more intel than I currently have. I don't understand people. In all things, I always make it a point to do the right thing. I don't care what I do as long as I'm in the right and whatever I did or did not do was for the right reasons. You'd think doing something for a good cause would give you a good effect, but to quote Jurassic Park (Dare I?) "Some of the worst things imaginable have been done with the best intentions." AKA Positive cause = Negative effect So, I've been left to debate what is right? What is wrong? My communication with people sucks. I find myself becoming easily frustrated, annoyed, and upset when people ask me stupid questions. By stupid questions, I mean when someone asks me a question and I think that the answer is obvious. When someone questions me as to what I'm doing and why I'm doing it I become angry because I'm "obviously" doing what I have deduced to be "right" for the "right" reasons which I have already cut apart and analyzed intensely to make sure they are supported by logic, understanding, reason, and rationality. That is who I am and that is what I enjoy doing. My focus in everything is always going to be to find some truth that's going to challenge me into thinking my way out and/or evolving. People questioning my integrity and trying to box me up into this stereotype that I never fit. And why were they doing this? Because my actions did not reflect on who I am at all. So, inadvertently, I became my own worst enemy. Aren't we all? I absolutely 100% hate tying bad and otherwise irrational behavior onto "medical" conditions, but I was talking with a friend and telling him about how I eat. He then proceeded to make a comment about how I must have extremely low blood sugar. I didn't really give a ***, because I just view such things as inconveniences and/or obstacles that through ignorance will cease to exist. Then I stopped and actually asked what that even means. He told me that a low blood sugar causes a person to be sick, tired, depressed, and have mood swings/act irrationally. I began to contemplate this. Is this a factor? Is it worth me looking into it further? I myself had begun to wonder what I was doing and why I was doing it. Thus, I deduced that with people it is not going to ever be that simple. There isn't just a reason for doing something and then the act itself. There is whatever is behind that thought process. There are so many innumerable factors. All different. And behind these factors are more factors that factor into that. A huge complex process. This is a lot like what I have discovered about choices. It's not just one choice, it's several small choices we don't consider which build up into something else entirely. Let me ask some of you this: Often men have come to me and asked me "Why do women have to play these "games"? (I'm just using this as an example because it relates, although maybe it's not just a "sex" thing. I honestly hope it isn't.) Men complain that women say things they don't mean, say nothing at all, and then get mad at them because they didn't do something*.... whatever that something may be. Women and/or girls (most of us) are brought up into this society of older women who gossip. Now, when I say gossip I don't just mean "Who got an abortion last week" or whatever I mean they pass around how unreliable men are in whatever different form that comes in. A man said this and did this, this man cheated on this woman, this man left his wife and kids out of no where, this man beat his girlfriend after being loving and kind at the start of said relationship, etc etc etc. It goes on and on and girls get to grow up listening to this on repeat. Every new generation does not want to be like the last, am I right? So, in order to prevent these "horrible" things from happening to us and making mistakes like these women made we came up with these games so we can create an hypothesis, experiment, and then move onto forming a theory. I did and said something that I did not mean, because I thought to myself "This person knows that I don't actually mean what I'm saying based off of what I've said and done all of this time" and however he responds to this, because his actions are contradicting his words, is going to be authentic/sincere. I can make a good judgment off of this. I can form a hypothesis to have better understanding of this person and the situation at hand. Is it safe to put myself at more risk or do I actually have grounds for concern? I guess it is always going to go back to trolling... doing something dramatic and overexaggerating tone, speech, and actions in order to draw a reaction out of another person. But then logically I realized that that isn't going to ever work. It is definitely a brilliant idea, but in all relationships I'm pretty sure what everyone is looking for is sincerity from the other person. So, if you want sincerity from someone you have to give it yourself in all things. Not give it in calculated measurements. >.< What is right? If you continue to find a problem, take it out of the equation in order to find the solution. My problem is constantly with other people. I have made many bad decisions based off of doing right by the other person, when in actuality maybe doing right by them would be doing right by me. I wouldn't find myself accidentally having two faces. I have done so many things for very defined reasons but the end result made the former null and void. I have deduced that the only logical way to lead one's life is to be yourself, do things for yourself, and see what happens. Because if you do things for others, others leave you, and you lose yourself in the process, nothing adds up. A house divided against itself cannot stand. In the end I think you will find doing things only for oneself is a hollow experience. It may be a natural reaction to what you've experienced in life, but having the pendulum sway all the way in the other direction is not all that different than what happened to the nerf/buff of the Flaylock. Eventually, and just like the Flaylock, you'll find the right balance. Well, I mean that from now on when I do things for others it should be thought out. For example, if I do this for someone with no expectations out of them but because this is what I want to do. Everyone's happy in the end, regardless. If you do something that is solely reliant on the other person's performance, then it's best not to do it at all, because at the end of the day you have to live with the choices you make and the consequences of your choices. People fail you all the time and they're not going to be the ones who are judged based off of your actions. Do something with complete sincerity because otherwise it's not you that's doing anything anyways. I wonder if you could figure out my point of what I think is wrong with you all on your own without me writing 10 different paragraphs explaining "why". I am also conducting an experiment here... In my first clan, we kicked out one of our officers because he was an insufferable tool. Like this dude was a complete douche, so a fellow leader and I decided to challenge his new clan to a match, he refused because of some reason that we're also douches (which is probably true). But anyway, stuff was said, which escalated to the kicked member bashing the other leaders deceased wife. After that, we actually started making plans to travel to Scotland to beat the hell out of this guy. He was ex-military, so we started researching forts where he'd be stationed. The next day, I message the kicked member, saying I said things that were quite stupid. Which leads to him messaging the guy he bashed apologizing to him. By the way, the stuff we said to kicked guy was about his wife too. We called her his google images wife, mainly because there was NO WAY a tool like him could've nabbed a woman this hot. I mean she made some dirty movie actresses look ugly. I still don't believe they're married. This is the kind of thing you people will start doing if you don't get over this crap. I've even seen a British gaming clan I used to hang out with fall apart due to childish drama like this, and they were competitive, too. And before you say I'd never do something like that, know that I said much the same thing about cases far less extreme. Broke that promise at least 10 times. Idk why you put my name on here? I don't regret a thing nor should I. I just pointed out that she said we didn't have to read this thread when obviously she knew who resides in the war room.
