Ive been thinking about suits and HP and how much they can tank versus scan profile. There will be no math involved, just my suggestion.
Heavies. Big, slow, can tank a looot of HP, can tank a lot of damage aswell as dish out lots of damage. Hence, at the sacrifice of stealth, speed, and scans. Thus being able to be scanned so easily. And have gigantic hitboxes.
Logis. Squishy, semi-slow, can take some HP, cant tank much damage, but can dish out some if necessary. The ideak target as they are support and keeps the flow of the team going. At the sacrifice of being versatile but restricted do to lower HP, limited stealth capability, and limited scan capability. Relying on support to give support, just as the heavy. Has smaller hitboxes but still can be taken out reasonably easily.
Assaults. Better HP, bonuzes to weapons, decent speed, can tank damage while dishing out a lots of damage. Truly frontline suit. Sacrifice, scans, stealth, hitboxes are decent. Relying on support to give support as well as above.
Scouts. Amazing scans, stealth capability, bonuses to EWAR & Biotics and hacking, great strafe speed, as opposed to above decent strafe speed, general better speed and stamina. Bonuses to some weapons and equipment. And smaller hitboxes. Sacrifice, extremely low HP, can be killed by anything a anytime in practically OHKed by anything. Most difficult role besides any actually if you play it right.

Ferros have the least penalty. In my opinion they are the scouts tank sides shield. Shields & ferros have the least penalty.

+1 We need to kick the addiction to HP modules in this game. As such, Extenders should be similarly affected. I feel it makes the most sense logically and for balance to have Plates reduce the user's scanning strength, and have extenders reduce the user's stealth strength. This would help to disincentivise dual-tanking.
Armor Plates reduce scan range and precision. Basic: -1m and +0.5Db Enhanced: -1.25m and +0.75Db Complex: -1.5m and +1Db Reactive Plates increase scan profile. Basic: +0.5Db Enhanced: +0.75Db Complex: +1Db Ferroscale Plates reduce scan range. Basic: -1m Enhanced: -1.25m Complex: -1.5m
Shields extenders increase scan profile. Basic: +0.5Db Enhanced: +0.75Db Complex: +1Db |

I like it. I hate how some assaults and even Heavies have to strafe to win in gun fights like wtf.
-.-
Stand still so I Blow your face off but since the Flaylock works Nice I can just aim at those Nice legs and BAM get owned SON!! . Scouts no problem but the other classes should be RESTRICTED on strafing.
MAG Raven vet 7 times. Favorite weapon F90 and Highest Kills 78 and 23 deaths.

Has the possibility to be a balancing factor when considering scouts for sure. However even though this is pie in sky level discussion, we would have to take into account shields and armour in this equation.
Also, we would have to adjust all of the suits base profiles as to accommodate these new game rules.
