You really dont need pro afterburner, save your self some SP there. The basic works great coupled with good cooldown skill.
I think ADS can be a lot more SP than people think but there are ways to cut corners and begin from the bottom (obviously).
As for is it worth it? If you enjoy flying yes.

Then, yes, investing into Assault Dropships is worth it. I dont take advice from someone who has been trolling pilots for the last couple weeks. Breaking Stuff aint no pilot, but he's put in the time and effort to look at ADS vs AV. His opinion i value, yours i do not.

You still need that skill because it gets you proto PG/CPU upgrades as well, plus unlocks the cool down/ up time skills.
Ah its been so long since I had to worry about skills.
Yea dont even attempt to fit a Python without a prototype power-grid upgrade, its ******* ridiculous.
You cant even fit full proto on the Python, its a silly design.
