Why does the Compact Nanohive give you way more ammo and armor reps compared to the ADV and PROTO Hives that rep you ?

Because it is a compact. Meaning that it holds more clusters tightly compacted in the hive which resupply you more. |

Supply radius is minimal
much lower nanite supply (gotta love blueberries stocking up on grenades)
only get 1 of them
only 1 active at a time

it doesn't yield more* ammo or reps, it distributes them at a much higher rate per cycle

Fit whatever your suit , PG & CPU will let you fit. If you have alot of armor and need the repairs from it, fit the best one possible. In the case that you need ammo and repairs, you will suck up that compact before you can get ammo. Armor gets repaired first. |

compact hives are generally used for emergency reps on armor based fits such as amarr assault or when you haven't got much cpu/pg left.
while kd17 is used by fits that require a constant ammo supply such as rr,cr, and sniper rifle users

Because you can only carry 1, it can only resupply enough ammo for 1 person and resupplying grenades or remote explosives from it consumes it really quickly.

It has far fewer nanites. You get a couple of 50's and that's it. Wiyrkomi triage hives give you far more.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

You can only carry one though, even a basic nanohive will supply you more total ammunition since you can carry two. Compact is good for a singular instance, not in the long run.
