If and when EVE, Valkyrie and Legion are connected? Not even that. What shall the whiners say when they are introduced to open world low and null sec pvp?
I've read the posts with the console kiddies saying they are going to love trolling the EVE players who supposedly don't play FPS games because they won't have "gun game". Lol.
Well, I think it is going to be to the contrary. You already complain about DUST having more than just a gun shooting game. Whatever shall you do when there will be more to worry about than just tanks, ADSs and snipers?
You have no idea what awaits you in the sandbox.
Hint: It won't matter what you can aim at.

I'm going to be extremely optimistic here and say that closed beta for Legion start end of 2015. That still puts it launching in 2016, probably Q2 - Q3 but who knows. Then how long after launch will it be until they solidify the Eve - Legion link? Months? A year?
Yeah, I'm not shaking in my dropboots about some egger who might kick sand in my eye 2 years from now.

Anywho, I doubt any players who aren't into the whole Eve universe would migrate from Dust to Legion, even if they have a chance of starting with 40+ million SP. |

Legion will be sandbox from the start though. That is the main thing Rouge said at the keynote. Matches will be part of it. There doesn't need to be a connection with EVE for the sandbox aspect to affect the game though. From the looks of it Legion is still planned to be more than just closed off run and gun. Tanks, snipers and ADS will most likely be given proper power with bigger maps. There will most certainly be elements that go beyond that to put the hurt on and beef up the metagame.
I foresee a lot of whining if this console crowd does indeed play Legion. Will CCP start nerfing it down to an arena rumble or will they stick to their guns? If the latter my OP stands.

Neither do I reduce the game to an infantry only whinefest. I can't wait to read the Legion forums though if and when that day comes. I've got some cheese to go with the whine.
