Logi suit still need the EHP buff and some tweeks to equipment.
logi with sidearms, since amarr logi gets sidearm but only 2 E slots at standard why cant caldari, though caldari would need a bit of a cpu and pg buff to compensate.
logi with out sidearms, maybe remove sidearm from amarr logi but give both amarr and caldari 3 equipment slots at standard level to be in keeping with minmatar and gallente
commando slot revision/addition suit speed buff suit hitbox tweek suit bonus tweek

Use something else you scruby fools definatly.. i was sucking with CR with my normal cqb or range tactics.. swap to RR and see immediate differance in presence/kills/staying power on the field..

Seriously though, rail rifle should be a supes up bolt pistol. Hits hard, shoots slow. Meaning one miss can be the end of you.

Meaning one miss can be the end of you. a good idea.. but id still like to keep normal and assault varients.. but a TAC (like AR-tac) version coudl work.. 3x harder hitting so like.. 180 a shot.. but 3x slower.. so like 200 RPM instead of 600ish

I don't want a fast assault suit with 2 weapons... I don't want bonus AV... I don't want to have it easy like a Sentinel carrying 2 light weapons... I just want to be able to churn **** up like I already do...
2 light weapons is a good bonus on it's own... add in 10% damage bonus and it more than makes up for the slow speed/large hitbox. |

EDIT.
Scout suits nerf/tweeks cal scout NERF! and fix its buggy hitbox
Vehicles maybe reintroduce some old vehicles back into the game to test the waters on how the new and improved AV weapons fare vs the advanced tanks/LAVs/ADS/LOGI-DS

I think that to even out logi's remove light weapon's and replace them W/ sidearms on every suit except amarr(which would get a light). Give Caldari that third equipment. RR aren't OP they are just good against armor and everyone uses armor.Also AR destroy my shields are they OP. Just earlier today using my exile AR on my sever C-1 I got a 5 kill streak.

Rail rifles need to function like the bolt pistol, but as they are now, they aren't really overpowering. Want the RR to not be as good against you? Tank shield instead of armor.

Wrooooong. I only just upped my commando to lvl 5 after the recent 2 mil sp event... lvl 3 is cheap & was fine for me for a long while. I used lvl 1 back when it was "under powered"... You talk bull, try using it. (not the bull, the suit.)
Not to mention lvl 1 commando suit is cheap to run I have a 5k suit that even without the bonus would be usable. |

Rail rifle should hit you like a truck. But it should also shoot real slow, meaning you have to land every shot to take advantage of that high alpha, meaning you are better at range.

Ever heard of specialist weapons? I'd rather fit a specialist rifle on my logi than a sidearm. When my logi fit costs 240k+ ISK i'm damn sure defending it with a light weapon.
WTF you mean "slayer" logi got taken out? How? I still kill fine with my logi. A shooter is designed for slaying. All suits in this game are designed to kill, however some better than others.

1) Do you run a pure sidearm fit? As in no light weapons at all? I'd say no based on your mention of an RR. Try that first. Not that it can't be done, because it can, but don't use your experience of finishing people off with a sidearm or using it as a situational alternative to your main weapon as any kind of proof that limiting an entire class of suit to a sidearm is viable.
2) I invite you to try running sidearms alone with a STD sidearm, particularly one that doesn't have a ton of SP in proficiency or sharpshooter skills. I've seen people get shredded by skilled players with a pure sidearm fit but of course that's with dual Ishukone Assault SMG's with prof 5. A newer player with an unskilled STD sidearm wouldn't stand a chance.
3) Finally, what do you think might happen if everyone could tell from 60m away that you didn't have a light weapon? Maybe, oh, I dunno, your suit was bright yellow and upon seeing that, everyone immediately knew what you were armed with. Do you think that every one of your opponents always having sort of information might place you at a disadvantage? That unless you have a magsec they can basically engage you at will from 65m out and you have no chance?
TL;DR New players in any suit, particularly a bright yellow one, that was restricted to just sidearms would not last 10 seconds. Your experience with a highly specced sidearm, even if that was the only type of weapon you equip, is not applicable due to the SP invested and the fact that your opponent does not know ahead of time that you do not have a light weapon.

This.. ever since release.. Mercs have moaned about the commando It suffers from low fiiting, low speed, low slots .. QQ
It has 2 Light weapons..
Not a day goes by without a Nerf (insert Light weapon here) Thread.. Yet people still think a suit that fits 2 Light weapons needs buffing *sigh*

You haven't used a Bolt Pistol lately have you? And Logis are meant to be SUPPORT not combat find a heavy and latch onto him and theres your weapon. Your job is to keep everyone alive and that is the convention in every game. |

TL;DR New players in any suit, particularly a bright yellow one, that was restricted to just sidearms would not last 10 seconds. Your experience with a highly specced sidearm, even if that was the only type of weapon you equip, is not applicable due to the SP invested and the fact that your opponent does not know ahead of time that you do not have a light weapon.
I do have a sidearm only fit with a std sidearm and a lone logi is a useless logi. Ask any real logi were he gets his points its supporting other players not killing. I use sidearms because it allows me to run better equipment trust me try it like you told me. John: "Hey man, where do you get most of your WP from?"
John: "Hm... let's see. It's probably not my 3-4 kills per match, so I'll have to go with equipment"

However, I'm not sure how that really factors in to this discussion. It is neither new information nor listed as a reason not to keep the light weapon slot. Should we take away the equipment slot from assault suits because most of their WP comes from using their weapon?
I stand by my statement, and direct you to the bolded portion. While the existence of the magsec makes a sidearm-only fit slightly more flexible than when we first had this debate over a year ago, I really think people underestimate not only the obvious, which is how much impact your SP investment in a weapon really has, but the significant tactical disadvantage you would have if you are restricted to a very small list of weapons which everyone would already know about the second they saw you.

The existence of an OP sidearm (which will not be for much longer) is a pretty poor justification for a major change to an entire class of suit.
More importantly, lets just make one thing clear: My sole reason for existence is not to leech off some fatty all game. I'm not a sentient armor repair module.
- I maintain tactical control of the map with placement of blue uplinks and removal of red ones - I provide ammunition - I provide tactical information with scanners - I provide suppressive fire and finish off weakened enemies so I can revive you - I set RE's or proxy traps - I counter snipe to keep the killers focused on their job - And yes, I repair damaged suits and provide additional eHP to sentinels to break through highly defended areas.

Some of you may be used to the more recent brain-dead, repper-only logi meta, but those of us who have been logis from long before the logi suits and equipment got nerfed, or when there was only one logi suit, or before every god damn blueberry, their brother, sister, second cousins, and next door neighbor's dog started wh0ring WP by spamming uplinks at the start of every freaking match have a slightly different concept of what it means to provide logistical/tactcial support.

If Logistics should have their LW Slot removed because they're strictly support based, then the inverse must also be true about every other class, as they're designed for slaying.
So, we'd have to remove the EQ slot from every other class in the game and restrict Scouts to only fitting Cloaks. Now while you let that sink into your head, I'll be puking at the very thought.
PS: Last time people asked for a Sidearm Only" Logi, CCP Logibro said lolno and their arguments were far better than yours will ever become. Stop wasting your time.
