Using the influx of recent posts as proofGǪ
Caldari combat philisophy just doesn't work for ground warfare.
I want it to butGǪ
Talk about painting yourself in a corner CCP. If we really stuck with the Caldari philosophy for combat, the sniper rifle would be the main method of attack followed by artillery units and aircraft. Redline rail tanking IS the accurate form of Cal tanking.
And Gallente? They'd just use drones.

I use gallente because i get more out of the 4 slots in a proto.

And yet the remain the dominant force in Ground combat, so far the Bolt and RR are the best ground combat weapons. The only reason we don't see rails anymore is because the missile launchers have greater DPS and range than a rail gun.

Actually, Gallente combat philosophy is to get in as close as you can and blast the ever loving crap out of everything with high DPS blasters (or kite with drones).

That's my point. They are dominant at any range and if made to be dominant only at long range they would be redliners. Doesn't work either way. Hit and run? Are you kidding me? Corner. Painted.
