It's one thing to be a good pilot but there is another thing to knowing how to fit your dropship(s). Below I will give all my best fittings. After each fitting I will give the pro's and con's of using them. Now I understand most pilots who look at these fittings may understand that none of these modules for them can be all placed exactly. For those new pilots or pilots without that much Skill points invested into vehicle modules, the fitting of exact modules is not the important part but rather the module formula.
(Example: Heavy Complex Shield Extender + Complex Afterburner = Heavy Shield Extender, Afterburner. Where as not the type of Heavy Shield Extender and Afterburner is not important but that the fitting requires an Heavy Shield Extender, and an Afterburner is the more important thing.)
These fittings are tried and true and translate to any game mode, be it Planetary Conquest, Skirmish, Domination, or Ambush OMS.
Caldari Support Dropship I - This particular dropship fitting is your basic Myron dropship focused on squad support.
PRO's = Heavily shielded dropship. Scanner equipped for enemy location. Missile Launcher for support against Infantry and Vehicles. (Using an additional turret is really not necessary when pilots will be the 6th person in their squad). Afterburner for increasing speed when needed. CON'S = Heavy shields slows turning speed. (As now this stands true to 1.8 Delta and previous builds only). Afterburner equipped still does not make it equivalent to an Assault Dropship acceleration.

PRO's = Heavily shielded dropship. Mobile CRU equipped for spawning on a dropship that can bring infantry back to an objective or become a starting point for infantry to spawn on to take another objective when one has been lost. (Very tactical and powerful asset)! Receives squad points that can be placed towards orbital support. ***NOTE YOU NEED TO BE IN A SQUAD*** Missile Launcher for support against Infantry and Vehicles.
Gallente Support Dropship I - This particular dropship fitting is your basic Grimsnes dropship focused on squad support with the Mobile CRU. ***VEHICLE ARMOR COMPOSITION NEEDED***
PRO's = Heavily armored dropship. (Using an additional turret is really not necessary when pilots will be the 6th person in their squad). Afterburner for increasing speed when needed.
CON'S = More prone to A/V compared to it's Caldari Variant *** Forge Gun & Swarm Launchers *** Afterburner equipped still does not make it equivalent to an Assault Dropship acceleration.
Side note: On most of the fittings I usually use missile turrets because they can handle infantry and vehicles reasonable balanced between the two. If you prefer blasters, or rail turrets then change them according. Good hunting.

Caldari Assault Dropship (Striker) I - This particular dropship fitting is your Python assault dropship focused on attacking air to ground for any type of scenario.
PRO'S = Heavily shielded dropship. Afterburner for increasing acceleration when needed to run away from Anti Air or other Assault dropships. Requires less players to operate making it very viable for squad and team support on the ground. Can transport up to two players quickly to tactical locations.
CON"s = Vulnerable to dropships operated by two or more. Dumb fire missiles are less effective against arial targets. ***1.8 DELTA DROPSHIP VEHICLES*** Dumb fire missiles are less effective against vehicle targets. ***1.8 DELTA DROPSHIP VEHICLES*** Dumb fire missiles are less effective against infantry. ***1.8 DELTA DROPSHIP VEHICLES***
Caldari Assault Dropship (Striker) II - This particular dropship fitting is your Python assault dropship focused on attacking air to ground specific targets.
***1.8 DELTA SAME FOR GROUND VEHICLES*** Vulnerable after shield hardener cool down.
Gallente Assault Dropship (Air Superiority) - This particular dropship fitting is your Incubus assault dropship focuses on attacking air to air targets.
PRO'S = Heavy Armor repairing dropship. Double Harden equipped for engagement flexibility. (Activating both hardeners allows this Incubus variant to resist A/V better, 1 hardener at a time continues a good cycling for nearly continuous hardened armor).
Small rail turrets are extremely less effective against vehicle targets. ***1.8 DELTA DROPSHIP VEHICLES*** Small rail turrets are not effective against infantry targets.
Side note: On most of the fittings I usually use missile turrets because they can handle infantry and vehicles reasonable balanced between the two. If you prefer blasters, or rail turrets then change them according. Assault dropships pro's and con's may be fixed within the future as more information/updates from CCP come ready. Good hunting.

Gallente Assault Dropship w/ Extra Turret(s) - This particular dropship fitting is your Incubus assault dropship focused on two or more turrets for specific engagements. ***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT TURRET GUNNERS UNDERSTAND WHEN TO SHOOT AND NOT TO***
PRO'S = Equipped with two or more turrets. Has two variants of turrets, ideal for handling other vehicles. Double Harden equipped for engagement flexibility. (Activating both hardeners allows this Incubus variant to resist A/V better, 1 hardener at a time continues a good cycling for nearly continuous hardened armor).
CON'S = More Vulnerable to AV, (Swarm Launchers & Forge Guns). Removes one or two extra from your infantry team on the ground. ISK price. Turret operator is not immune to damage. Keeping both turrets to fire in front of the dropship or at the target while moving. Gunner can kill themselves with turret.
Caldari Assault Dropship w/ Extra Turret(s) - This particular dropship fitting is your Python assault dropship focused on two or more turrets for specific engagements. ***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT TURRET GUNNERS UNDERSTAND WHEN TO SHOOT AND NOT TO***
PRO'S = Equipped with two or more turrets. Has a shield booster to quickly start shield regeneration after damage. (ACTIVE MODULE) Cheaper cost for a 2 operator dropship.
CON's = Little error available when toggling shield booster module with Afterburner Module. Removes one or two extra from your infantry team on the ground. Turret operator is not immune to damage. LImited on how many and what turrets can be equipped. (Standard/Advance/Protoype). Keeping both turrets to fire in front of the dropship or at the target while moving. Gunner can kill themselves with turret. Dropship fitting is not suited to fight/defend against arial enemies.
