So it's almost been 3 weeks since the update to team balancing that included logic for squads and I figured I would post my thoughts and maybe you can add yours. Please try to keep this constructive. If you are unhappy with how it works for you, please post your KD/R and win/loss ratio so that trends can be found.
From what I have experienced personally, team balancing is much better than before. Most of my matches are now close and I am enjoying the game much more.
That said, from what I have read on these forums I have a sneaking suspicion that team balancing is very effective when the players in a match have MUs that are in the middle of the curve and less effective for matches with players that are at the polar ends of the curve (Particularly the top end). For example, someone who's MU is super high and who is playing a solo match may find that the team balancing algorithm is constantly putting a full squad on the opposite team in order to balance MUs.
I would like to see stats from CCP Ratati that compare match results prior to the new balancing with match results after the new balancing as I believe they would show a great improvement. I do believe more tweaking can be done (maybe a simple squad multiplier change) and hopefully this thread could help shed some light on how this could be done.
BTW here are my stats that influence MU. - lifetime KDR is about 0.9 - lifetime win/loss is about 1.0 - monthly KDR is about 1.5 - monthly win/loss is about 1.5

My experience with the team building change has been a positive one. I seem to be put up against people roughly my own skill level, and my ratio of Matches Played:Matches Curbstomped is much better.
I've noticed that there seems to be an ebb and flow. I will play 2 - 4 good, balanced matches*, then suddenly out of nowhere I will be put up against a badass six-man squad that rocks my brown hole. Then 2 - 4 good matches. Rinse, repeat.
*Full disclaimer: not saying that I win these matches. Just saying they feel balanced.

I've felt matches are much much closer than they used to be. I really dig the new matchmaking, it's made the game a lot more fun.

Guarded agreement... Some improvement seen.
The sig is back! K/D(r) matchmaking would even fix the matchmaking fix.

I've seen a drastic improvement. I hope we can see an overhaul of the matchmaking now that team balancing is in decent shape. It'll still need some polish to get the squad modifiers nailed down to the ideal values, but I think we'll see a bigger improvement from a serious revisit of the matchmaker first.
Best PvE idea ever!

Love the matchmaking, except think squads should receive a 1.25 multiplier on the MU of each person in squad, because teamwork even from 4 blueberries fresh from the academy is > the best duster alive going solo

I do agree that the chief suspect to the slight imbalance with teams on some matches might have something to do with how MU is calculated for squads. Just like the OP, I'm experiencing a cycle of lots of balanced matches followed by one or two pubstompings and then back the balanced matches afterwards.
I'm going to wager that this is probably because my own MU is relatively high as a solo player and as a result I'm pitted against a whole squad of powerful players. Yes, this is a stealthy way of saying "I'm that good" but that's not the point. my point is that I think I'm becoming a victim of my own success. XD
But if there is anything that irks me more than having my own MU turn me into a sacrificial lamb every now and then, then that would have to be seeing players of known strength leave a match midway. Kind of like how CEO Pyrex left a match early after facing resistance from this guy a while ago.

How is it that Everyone is having a positive feedback on this change but me ? Every-single match I have played has been no doubt a landslide of a loss

I solo frequently and am often on a side with randoms against full squads of somebodys. But I am a sicko and actually enjoy the challenge of carrying my team even though we will most likely lose.

Seen a lot more matches come down to the wire since the change. Had one domination match where I was watching the Clone count and both sides flipped to Zero at exactly the same time. Until the match ended no one knew which side had won.

My matches seem to be more balanced in that we're not pushed to the red line, but I seem to keep finding myself on a team that's allergic to teamwork. Minimal squads, or multiple squads with minimal people in those squads, lol. Seems like the multiplier is applied to a 'squad' regardless of the number of people in it. In other words, if you have four 1 man squads on your team then your teams Mu total is affected negatively by placing you in a higher tier.
