Sorry dude my frustration got the best out of me. I will quit for you If you are a true gentleman, you should give your isk to Ernesto Romero before biomassing.

Has it ever occurred to you that you could squad up with corpmates or channel-buddies? I don't trust a blueberry to do jack. You find a group of 5 other mercs, you squad with them, get on comms, say, "I need uplinks dropped.", they do it. Join an active corp or channel. Learn where the best squads are hanging out. I don't find squading up to help all that much to be honest. Especially when the majority of the 26 other players factoring in the MU are solo. You get a multiplier of some sort when in a squad. So your side will get shittier players than they would have if your 6 players had entered solo. EDIT: I understand why Rattatti built this into the system, but an unintended consequence is to further incentivize solo play. Is this how MU works? is there a way to sort of cheat the MU system by going into a battle solo, but once the battle starts to jump into squads?

Thor Odinson42 wrote:How can you not care? There is currently no reason for anyone to care about winning a match beyond just being competitive. That is the issue that has lead to the droves of players deployed solo.
-Lots of people have found that they can make far more ISK not trying to win (dying trying to defend/capturing points).
-Others have found that their KDR is better if they don't get too close to the points but position themselves to get plenty of kills. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose.
-People tanking, sniping, dropshipping, LAVing when stuff needs to be done around objectives.
When you mix the vets that do what I just described above in with a bunch of new players that just don't have a clue it creates a lot of frustration. I'm not sure how anyone can be happy with the participation in pubs. Are you saying that you are? This^ very much so.
when I started I was all super excited about trying to win every match, and I would push myself to the extreme (and almost give myself a brain aneurysm). I would swear (but not too loudly) whenever I died, and I would constantly zerg rush (I think that's the term) a location, even if I was by myself.
Ah, to be a try hard noob, once again (lol, which was only a month ago).
And then around the Million Clone Challenge something clicked. Winning doesn't matter unless you're just looking to give yourself a pat on the back. There's no story, no level progression, we don't affect anything Eve side. This is just a very fun shootey type game.
so for a lot of people, and myself included, a good match isn't winning, a good match is going isk positive.

stitcheract wrote:Riurodo with your comment I an know more than convinced that I am done with this game, probably most vets that do the work on the matches will get fed up of people like you. And will leave the game for good as well. So you isk hungry scrubs can shoot each other silly...thank you for letting me know your phucked up tactics. wait, whoa, what? how is it my fault that you're are leaving?
I didn't say I AFK, or that I just sit around the the redline. I push myself over and over again and it's really frustrating because I'm going up against super vets that can run proto whenever they want to. You know what sucks? When you spend all your sp you've been saving for a week to get a gun, a single gun, up to advanced so you can have a tiny fraction of hope against someone else,
and somebody with a (insert letter here)k. 0 proto suit kills you 10 times in a single match. You know how much SP I would have if I didn't participate in the MCC with an omega booster? 3 million. 3 million sp to go up against players with 20 or 30 or some even with 60 million sp.
Some matches I manage to get into the top half of the kill feed. There's even been a few where I've placed in the top 3, but more often than not I'm looking at the bottom half, with more deaths than kills. And it's not my fault because I'm trying. I really am.
And all I hear are get good or get out. I hate blue berries. yada yada. blah blah. It hurts. But I'm not going to let that stop me, but I'm not going to be stupid either.
I'm constantly being reminded in the forums and in game that I suck, so the least I can do is try to come out isk positive. Why should that make you want to quit? (--_-- )
rant over.
