are never actually coming to dust, I had a thought.
CCP rattati can you make it so that we can sell the items to NPC vendors?
Really simple, under the buy window make it so we can go negative (i.e. -10 viziam scramblers to add 470kisk to your account) in order to sell our unwanted gear back to the NPC vendors?
Super super easily fix, should be doable server side (i would imagine) and would help out with player satisfaction. Of course isk items only that is. This one change would make Faction Warfare more rewarding. There really is no downside here.

I'd sell like more than half my stuff if this were to happen. Maybe in Legion.

Lots of people have asked for this but that sounds like the easiest way to integrate for sure.

That would require a client side code fix to change how the market works it's not just a simple server side thing

I have no reason to believe that you can make that statement in an authoritative manner, seeing as you have no tag near your name and I am pretty sure you were not on CPM0. The forums are too full of trolls speaking outside of their knowledge base for me to take your word at face value here.

He wasn't being authoritative about it. He's telling the truth. CCP Rattati has made a lot of great changes to the game for the better but those changes, if you notice, are all server-side changes. CCP said that any changes to the game requiring a client-side update will likely not be looked at for a long time until after Dust 514 has been mostly balanced. I say "mostly" because balancing changes are always constant and CCP Rattati is trying to get the game to be at least comfortably balanced server-side.
What you're requesting will likely require a change to the User Interface to be able to select an item and sell it. Not to mention that CCP will have to estimate a reasonable sell price so that too much ISK doesn't flood the game like how PC District-Locking did and the team that's dealing with UI changes is focused on Project Legion.
But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and leave a disclaimer here that perhaps there is a way to implement the change server-side without requiring any client-side changes. If there is, I'm sure CCP Rattati, Frame, and Logibro would find it. If it requires a client-side update, don't expect that feature to come around for a long time. And I know how a long time feels like. I've waited for "the door" in Eve Online to open since 2011. Still not open yet.
On Twitter: @HilmarVeigar #greenlightlegion #dust514 players are waiting.

And I know how a long time feels like. I've waited for "the door" in Eve Online to open since 2011. Still not open yet. My suggestion is super simple:
When you bring up the purchase window for an item, allow it to go to -1 or -10 or whatever, thereby selling the item in question.
There is absolutely no need to change anything else. Since there is no economy, and never will be, why not sell the items for the same price as the purchase price? This would require the MINIMUM amount of work I can think of, and should fit within the current client.
To say it a different way:
You know how when you buy an iten you can buy between positive 1 and 100 of them through that screen? Change the range so that it can go negative, that is it.

Any sort of new user interface, like a "sell" button, would require a client side update at bare minimum. I would assume that there is actual code preventing you from going backwards on the buy dialogue as well, as nobody would likely foresee a need to allow you to change that range server-side.
It's also important to note that nothing CPMs say is authoritative either.

It's gotta be worth an ask around next time you guys talk to the CCP dudes? I think this would be something the whole community would be behind IF it is a possibility, no matter how crude the implementation would be.
OR (I just had a light bulb ping in my head )
How about adding in ISK bundles to the salvage? So instead of picking up random loot we cant use, want or sell, we could sometimes pick up a stash of extra ISK?
My god why has this never been thought of before?

Trust me, CCP knows it's a feature people want. (I assume CCP Rattati plays enough to want it himself too, lol.)

It is almost like none of you guys even read the original post.
No sell button
No changes to the client
No new interfaces
Just allow the range to go from -100 to 100 instead of where it is now at 0 to 100

Alright, sorry for getting a little hot headed before.
Here is the question to ask (CPM ask CCP): Can we change the quantity range from [0,100] to [-100,100] in the Purchase pop-up window, thereby allowing us to sell our gear?
