Lol so your saying destiny is a well made game that no one wants to play and dust is a poorly made game that everyone loves? I think you mistake graphics for quality (Dam kids today). I have only seen two bugs in this game the current reload bug and the rare dropship despawn leaving a mass of polygons. CCP runs a tight ship I mean there are issues, but most if not all were intended.
It didn't taste like abortion.?.?.

Its rare i return to the 'scene of the crime' on the forums but today i will.....
The subtext of the OP was really to cite that Dust 514 is still a really good game - the feeling you get as you run across that map with your weapons primed, its pretty sexy and so far (in my experience) hard to beat for its weight and survival context.
The whole ADS thing isnt really much of a problem - no idea why people think i was white knighting for a fit i use one time in a hundred perhaps.
Id like to propose that the game needs less balancing and the crack team of great minds at CCP (and Rattati oooooooooooooooh snap see what i did there?) should look at getting some changes through to enlarge the scope, not enrich it.

I'm very much a Pyrex fanboy. I was astonished to discover a decent DUST community on youtube and sh*tloads of videos on his page. I sometimes have them on during play - i think it was his advice on RE's that did it. A troll he may be but I recommend newbs look through his back catalogue because there's some sound advice, stuff that helped me mix it with veterans even at an early stage.
Inducing rage in far more experienced players is one of the peculiarities of Dust that kept me coming back.
Still, i sent Pyrex an ingame mail to express joy at being top dog on his team during a game and he ignored me - so hey.. screw you kitchenware boy!

They aren't going to do that at anytime since they haven't said anything about doing a client update- I don't know why people keep asking when they most likely know CCP(or CPM) said that they aren't doing client updates and aren't(still) planning too. |

we can get used to the aiming mechanics....but compared to call of duty here are the differences:
ADS (aim down sights) is steadier in COD than dust
hipfire rotation speed is much faster in COD than dust
cloak field visibility is much more visible in COD than dust
scout ck.0 here!

well i say I'm a fanboy (without really knowing what qualifies one as a fanboy) but i feel like i should support him as i like his videos and he's a posh English chap with a very stressful job and he only plays DUST when he isn't kissing girls... apparently...

Yesterday I and my buddies GJMad and I Like Rice were starting a match off by flying a gorgon to the domination point. Immediately some chode in an incubus came in and tried to rail us to death.
I afterburned away into the redline. We made a short stop at our supply depot, a couple of assaults and a logi left the dropship, but what got back in was a forge gunner and two swarm commandos.
I flew us back into the action, keeping my altitude high and flying at a slow, stately pace. The incubus returned, as expected, dropship pilots are nothing if not predictable.
I engaged afterburners, but this time, instead of heading for the redline, I headed for the nearest large flat structure. We leapt out of our trusty gorgon, and the incubus, sensing blood, came in for the kill.
The blood it sensed was its own. Its flaming carcass fell from the sky as we exchanged high fives and piled back in to our glorious transport gorgon, which served the noble purpose of moving us around the battlefield, not reducing itself to being the scummy, vile engine of punishment and torment that the filthy ADS has become.
I flew again, keeping my altitude high and flying at a slow, stately pace. The incubus returned, as expected, dropship pilots are nothing if not predictable.
I engaged afterburners once more, again heading to the nearest large structure. The incubus followed once again, sensing blood. My fighting instincts landed us and began the process of firing on the incubus once again, but the rest of me only despaired at the state of mankind.
Back into the gorgon we went, and I flew us up into the air, keeping my altitude high and flying at a slow, stately pace. This time, there was hope! This incubus had learned that, at least in this game, his cunty depredations were unwelcome.
We amused ourselves with demolishing tanks for a while, as the game slowly ended, satisfied that we had crushed the ADS pilots spirits. The match ended, a job well done.
tl;dr: **** ADS. The only thing the vast majority of the pilots that run them do to adapt to actual resistance is to stop running them altogether. And then the really annoying thing is that if we run into a properly driven one, unlike the one above, it just cant be killed by anything but absurd overwhelming force. Go back to your I win machine and eat ****.

on that other note from what ive heard is destiny not having much story to it. sounds like how halo first started out but u know what happened. other ppl ended up developing more and more story to the series.
im pretty sure this is what will happen to destiny it will just be a while...perhaps a long while.
in the mean time. im going to continue playing mass effect 3 multiplayer and minecraft. because ive got nothing to do on dust. I don't see random new players everyday. and the few ppl I did playwith seemed to have disappeared. now a days if I log on and yell LFS OR IM FA and some other stuff very low chance of even getting into a squad. that and ive gotten tired of the way combat all plays out 100% of the time. ive had my interesting moments in this game. but its just gotten too boring and ridiculously stupid.
I don't think destiny would get boring after 20 hours in my book. id probably have a lot to do on that game. and more to do in the future. the only thing that could possibly get back on dust is pve and new content in general. if ccp had focused on getting all the content out they could have tried to balance later after all that and in then end. we might have actually had a pretty decent game. but I suppose its every1s fault with the idiot train.
dust 514 shall be eternal.
pve for dust 514.
