How many of you are like me and Started using knives because you cant shoot, i have nooo gun game what so ever (stuck with them because i was good at it :p )

Well i picked the min scout JUST because It looked cool and then one day I noticed the bonus to knifes and decided might as well use them. That was around the first days of uprising it still is my only suit on my main. |

I actually start with knifing because my issuess with AS, but it was in Blacklight: Retribution game. Here its fine, i can shoot something, but im more likely support Logi, than slayer.

I started using them because I wanted to master the jump charge attack that Radar used to do.
I don't have gun game nor am I a good knifer. Basically I'm a loser.
But I'm good with a nanite injector and nanohives.

I started using them for the challenge of hunting. Helps my gun game to because it helps my set up my engagements

Tecnically you swipe 2 times per attack soooooo still 2 hits

But you only have to press R1 buttom once , that-¦s what i meant . I know you have to connect both swipes and technically are 2 hits , but i -¦ve just killed medium frame with just only one swipe but fully charge of course ... |

I started using NKs because I realized I could be more effective than a sniper.
My first NK fit was with a SR as my main.
Then it went to CR in 1.7
Now with the Knife fixes in Charlie, I run NKs as my main.
I also have poor gun game, and its part of the reason knives have increasingly become my killing tools. Also, I really didn't become proficient with them until Shinobi. Before then I basically just knifed hackers.

I specced into knives back when I was still an academy noob, and blew my sp on anything and everything. Why, why did nobody tell me that sniper rifles suck???

When i first saw the NK i wanted to use them. Hiariously, i have awesome aim with breach SCP slow firing type weapon. SR, SCP,
BSMG, CR. When it comes to full auto my aim used to and sometimes still does, completely tank. But the second i fis fired up
this game, i said, 'Weres the knives submachines pistols snipers and shotguns?' Was already planning what i was gonna use and
hoping the game had good customization. So, i guess so? My first proto weapon was NK. No regrets.

I seen people with knives, thought it looked good and I'm better with them than with a gun. Well now my gun game is good because I use the bolt pistol and it requires accuracy so it kinda made me better at that.
But knives are great and if I confident enough in my abilities haha i'd run them only. I might have to try that out Friday so I can get my situational awareness to a whole nother level.

I tested the NK on my alt before 1.8 deploy. Since then, I became to be a NK addict and lost my gun game on my main.

I started using knives way back in closed Beta, back when the "Nova Knife" was used as the melee weapon. This was also back when the Hand-to-Hand skill increased melee/NK damage, rather than Myofibril efficacy, so a melee based scout fitting was actually a viable option with proper SP investment.
Fast forward to the release of Nova Knives as a sidearm, and I was prepared to make use of the new knives. Unfortunately, they were complete garbage at that time, and my main concern was helping our newly formed corp establish itself in PC. So, I passed on the NKs at that time, and left them alone mostly out of spite because I was much happier with them before the change. I eventually caved when the Shinobi event started and decided that the knives were at least passable.
Now that hit detection has been fixed and scouts are in a better position, I've finally started using the knives and Min Scout more regularly. I still miss running around with dual PRO Scrambler Pistols (Assault and Burst, usually) and 3 CPX KCs while stabbing people in my Scout vk.0.
EDIT: Guess I didn't answer the actual question. As far as the current NKs are concerned, I picked them up later on, after I was already using several other weapons. It didn't have much to do with my performance with other weapons. |

I used nova knives as my second weapon, as i have good enough gun game to kill an enemy with my light weapon before reloading (as most people can do :P). I run a proto caldari scout, so i might as well cloak up and creep around slicing and dicing...submachine guns dont 1-hit kill enemies unlike nova knives.
And they are the best sidearm to have in eWar circumstances
