As I play my toons scout/assault I notice a huge wage disparity between the two and would imagine that I would find a similar case between heavy and assault. I can't afford to play my assault with advanced gear, but can easily make isk playing my scout in advanced because my scout doesn't die much.
I was wondering about the difference between heavy/assault and scout/heavy.
I was also wondering why the cost of the suits are the same when (RP) the "specialist" suits would obviously take more materials/labor to produce.

I run ADV Assault suits all the time and I make a near 90-100% profit.
What the heck are you people fitting to make your suits so expensive?

Maybe you're just a terrible Assault player and a great Scout player, as my classes pretty much die equally rare, besides my deliberately cheap throwaway 3K isk assault suit.

What the heck are you people fitting to make your suits so expensive? I've flown ADS since 1.3 and almost always made profit (183m currently, over 300m between all my characters).
Note: most of this was made outside of PC and other means.
Edit: My alt is mainly a Logi and my typical suit costs 25k. None of my suits I run get above 25k if I can help it.

Ok, so a few things:
1) If you don't run with a squad, you will always be at an everything advantage, thats why this game has 50 players left.
2) If you don't choose cloaky scout without a squad, you are going to die alot
3) Number > skill. This is the law of new eden (ever since goons)

Shotty-go-Bang, Arkyena (sp?).... a few others that I can't remember. Me. Dude you run in squads ALL THE TIME. Over the last month you have a 2.45 w/l ratio, just like the rest of the squaders. Sure your lifetime w/l ratio is poor, telling me you used to solo a lot, but those days are long gone.
Let me say it again for the cheapsets:
Squad =/= skill. People who are absolutely horrible can have good results when they run squads in pubs because the average redberry is disorganized and not focus firing.

@ OP
I could say the same about my ADS pilot VS my Tanker. Its incredibly easy to make good points and good isk using my tank. However my ADS pilot with a similar level of SP invested really struggles to even make 1/3 of those same war points.

I can make money if I run militia dropships I am a good pilot (cheaper than my suits 30k). I have not been running my assault with a squad prolly a big part of it (RP), but still it seems specialist suits would cost more. Being forum-famous does not make one a good player. Shotty is, at best, a mediocre player. He also runs ambush and frequently quits if the other team is full of protostompers or its a map he doesn't like- although he's reported a drop in number of matches he quit due to matchmaking changes.
And a really amazing squad of 6 can still lose to a team of 16 bad players because the other 10 on their team are worse than AFK'ers or Red line snipers
At the OP though. A big thing about making ISK and the difference between suits is (1) number of slots. Sentinels make the most ISK becuase all suits cost the same but they have the fewest slots to fill.
Logistics make both the most and the least, depending on their squad. Ones with good squads can make up to 400,000 ISK a match regularly because they get so many warpoints. On the other hand, filling those equipment slots is crazy expensive. A proto Logistics suits costs nearly as much as a proto vehicle only they are more likely to die often because Logistics are high priority targets.
Assaults and Scouts should be making around the same. The assualt has a decent amount of HP now and plenty of slots to give it decent survivablity. The scout on the other hand has a lesser likely hood of being killed from behind.
If you're dying more with an Assault than a Scout it is probably because you lack situational awareness. Always expect someone to be around that next corner. Always expect someone to be following you. Basically become paranoid when you play an Assault and you'll live longer. Longer life = more ISK

Sentinels donGÇÖt have Equipment slots, which means no Equipment WP, and since bonus pay is based on WP, yea there is a wage disparity.
I average 120,000 ISK per match. If I make 150,000 ISK that is a good game for me. But if I spawn at the start of the match in a Logi suit and drop 3 uplinks before switching to Sentinel for the rest of the match I can easily make 200,000 ISK.

Hmm it looks like I misinterpreted the point of this thread. I thought it had to do with how much ISK you earned in a match. Now I see everyone commenting on how much ISK you have once you replace your losses.
When it comes to making ISK, I find my 3010 ISK HMG Sentinel fit has good results. I can also maintain an average KDR of 1 with it when running solo.

When you're in asq uad you do better. At least I know I do better playing with a squad. Playing solo as a Min Scout is annoying, especially when you're gonna get scanned by other scouts(I like kin cats and then sometimes I only use 1 com. damp) so if you're any other scout haha you'd do fine.
I hardly even use my Gal Scout(lvl 3) because I'm so used to my Min Scouy and how I play with that scout doesn't necessarily work for Gal) Ramble ramble
Anyways yah squads>solo It's always good to have someone watch your back.
