sometimes you're not saving up for anything. It just feels good to take down an expensive suit in your little cheapy suit.
I try to keep my fittings under 20,000 (my main is at 10,500) and only use my 26 k suit when I'm in a squad or i feel like being a try-hard (lol, I'm the only try hard without proto).

Wow, I use my 50k advanced cheap suits all the time, usually a 200k isk proto one, and if the battle is really not worth the fight, I eventually use a 20k isk suit^^ After playing dust for so long I can't play with ****** suits anymore x)

lol. well, just because my most expensive suit is only 26 k doesn't mean I'm against proto. I just don't have any proto stuff. Well, that's not true. with the million clone challenge I took Cal scout to proto. but because everything else I have is mostly militia (with like 5 things at advanced), I just haven't seen a reason to run proto Cal scout yet.
but I'm only a month and half into playing Dust. Ask me again in a year and I'll probably be running proto 24/7. hue hue hue.
