Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyy.
Heres a suggetion: Since the recall time for vehicles was nerfed, its been a real PITA to use vehicles as transport unless you intend to just let the vehicle die in a fire when you are done with it.
Could we have some modules that would decrease recall time?
So if a vehicle loaded up on these modules in high and low slots, the total recall time would be equal to the pre-nerf recall time.
Balancing the quicker recall would be that vehicles sporting only recall mods would be way easier to kill, etc.
Basically if I can fit out a transport car/dropship to get to destination and actually have a chance to recall it before getting stabbed or having some donk in a tank kill the vehicle, it would be really neato. |

Sounds good but I'm sure pilots and tankers will find a reason to complain about it. |

It's definitely a neat idea to trade fitting for recall speed.

I'd like to see this in a dropsuit actually, like a codebreaker |

Putting it in a dropsuit is not very balanceable.
If its in a dropsuit
1. it doesnt affect your vehicles fitting, therefore you can have a vehicle fit that is optimized for combat and still recall it in a dramatically reduced time
2. DOES affect your dropsuits fit, which inhibits its combat effectiveness, making it a negative for someone just using the vehicle for transport, thus you are basically reverting the recall time nerf, which is a nerf I actually agree with, so I think putting a module like this on dropsuits is a mistake.

Just reduce the hacking time to be the same as hacking a neutral objective/installation. Currently it's more comparable to counter hacking an objective. I get that the time before was too short, but now it's too long, just meet in the middle.
I can't sacrifice any more slots just for the convenience of recalling my vehicle deep in my redline anyway.
EDIT: I'm not sure but I thought code breakers helped with this anyway? Maybe a long time ago, but I thought I remembered that it workedGǪ Can't confirm or deny.

Well Im not concerned with people who are using their vehicles as persistent use elements on the battlefield. The only reasons they have to recall are to avoid loss of vehicle or to bring in another vehicle (e.g. responding to another vehicle with a vehicle fitted to counter them).
This kind of recall should have some heavy consequences so that players dont have a get out of jail free card if they get in trouble or come up against something they cant currently handle without calling in a new vehicle.
Im concerned about people using vehicles as transportation only, who the changes to recall time have hurt disproportionately and, I think, needlessly. |

Well you can increase the time it takes between a recall and a spawn so people aren't swapping vehicles constantly and if you have a mod like that installed then you are sacrificing damage or survivability |

Yes, forcing a sacrifice of damage or survivability to achieve a lower recall time is the point of the mod.
I dont really care about this very much so Ill probably just let the topic slide after this, the point is I think long recall times are appropriate for vehicles being used in combat, but harm players using vehicles as transport (getting from A - > B costs X ISK, unless you expose yourself for a long period to recall) and the proposed vehicle module may go a long way to fix what I see as an issue. |

Give Pilot dropsuits a recall bonus. Make recall take longer the less HP the vehicle has.

Definitely would be preferable as a vehicle module than a dropsuit module based on current mechanics. It shouldn't be possible for vehicle users to do such a thing with no penalty to the fitting they actually care most about: Their vehicle's.

Ok I'm going to be blunt, this is a stupid idea (at least making it a module). Modules are supposed to make your vehicle more combat effective, why waste a slot so you can recall faster? Do you expect to jump out and recall in the middle of a fight and realize your losing? How would this be better than another defensive mod?
And it won't help with swapping out vehicles either because you can just call another and recall while it's being dropped.
While I realize that a long recall time is needed to prevent people from just ejecting and recalling when in danger, the recall time is pretty absurd now and should be lowered slightly (see my above post).

Maybe you should see MY above post :l
The point of the module is not to help people using vehicles in combat. The point of the modules would be to allow people using the vehicles only as a means of transport to recall the vehicle without having to stand there recalling it for 15+ seconds when you get to your destination, which is very dangerous. |

Uh..I think there are already codebreaker modules that increase you hacking speed(includes vehicles too)
Should be in low slots. Also you need at least lv1 in hacking to gain access to them
