Sure, before aim assist, because speed tanking mattered when it was harder to aim. I distinctly remember Kujo and Soul running them during the days of the Flaylocks. So they must have been FOTM.

Minja are just too squishy in a game relying heavily on HP differences for them to have ever been FOTM. You would have to have game breaking speed or ridiculous knife mechanics for them to ever be FOTM.
They did have that speed, well before aim assist.

But you only do that against noobs, so who cares? Not only can you not do that against skilled players, you often times go the other way and back that proto up when you face good players. Just because you and your scrub corp protostomps when they get an easy match does not mean something is wrong. It means you have no pride. Hell just yesterday we had John Smith, Kaz, General Xelly, and MF Tank, running together tried to protostomp the game, my team never went above ADV and we absolutely face raped them. Its all about who you play. You played nobody during those matches, thats matchmaking, not the weapon. I went 60 and 0 the other day with my Boundless CR, but I wasnt playing anybody, oh well.
