I'd really like to change my name to "TooMany Names AlreadyTaken", because since I made this character before I had an HDMI cable, I couldn't see which letters were uppercase, and which weren't. oops 
40 kills with the most basic, cheapest possible dual-wielding standard Bolt Pistol fit...

Unfortunatly there is no way. Besides making a new character that is. And after doing that myself, I highly recommend 10/10. |

Ahoy!
We may only change names if the change is merely cosmetic (changing the case of a letter for example,  ) or in specific situations (such as an offensive name) or if the change is requested very soon after a character has been created.
Just promise me not to shoot me when I'm in an LAV!

What if you wanted to change a name to a character that you already own. Like if I had a character named Poppydoodle and this character is Puddlescuddles could I change my name to Poppydoodle?
You know you have at least thought about cow tipping. They know, and they're out to settle the score.

No, as mentioned above, we can only change character names if they have been created very recently, if the name is offensive, or if it is just a cosmetic change. Linked above is also our naming policy, explaining this in detail.

You really can't change those cases for him? Come on.. it sounds legit because of the lack of HDMI there was no way he could have known and that name does look awful :( You guy need to try and find a way for him. It's not like he is asking for a re name. Just the casing.

I feel for this OP because the GMs clearly can change names. Like, there is no system stopping them. The only thing stopping them is this policy, and while I understand that it is a good thing that it's there, I think there should be some clear exceptions such as this. Something like this would make me stop playing if I realised my name was messed up like that once I finally got this game in beautiful HDMI. Please GM's and CCP consider helping this guy.

If they actually changed it for you, I just gained all my respect and more back for the GMs and CCP. Good decision. Dust names matter much less than those of EvE Online anyway.
