I would like to ask for something that has been brought up a few times so far, again. Let us see the names of our squad mates on screen, without having to point our guns at the green chevrons.
When I am flying my standard dropship, and someone in my squad asks to be picked up, I simply cannot find them in a full squad. They can describe where they are to me, but it takes forever for me to figure out which green dot is the one talking on mic.
When I am backing someone up, especially strangers that I am squadded with, I cannot tell them to turn around by name.
"Hey green dot, tank closing in behind you !!"
This is really frustrating, I feel stupid saying it and more often then not the person I am trying to call out too does not know I am talking to them.
Please consider bringing back squad-mate name info. It's not clutter, it's VITAL. |

Please consider bringing back squad-mate name info. It's not clutter, it's VITAL. I have this issue often when sniping. I can see the shotgun scout flanking my mate, and by the time I can say "Greendot at blaster by Charlie, shotgunner behind you", if I miss that scout, my squaddie's already dead.
Jaceon Pale-eye.
And you shall know me by the sound of Charge SR bullets whizzing by your head as I miss repeatedly.

I would really like to see a blue tag say
"we can consider this" "it can't be done because X" "we don't think it's a good idea because Y"
Don't let this issue fade away one more time guys, please. |

This is a good idea that won't cause too much screen clutter and would help with team play, especially with squads that don't play together all the time.
Now with more evil.

I have always felt that this was needed. There are many roles and many times where this would be a huge benefit.

I would like an onscreen mic bubble too, so i can tell who is talking as well but, showing the names on the screen is the bare minimum. Can't like this post enough!

Couldn't agree more ! Having the entire team's names show up was too much, but please bring back just the squad names ! Voice your opinions as much as possible on this guys, it would really make squading much more fun and pleasant.
Another note: It's often hard for squad leader to decide where to stick the defend order when his squad member's names are not available. This happens to me often and I often end up putting it somewhere random until I can visually confirm it's the right person. Unfortunately, by then, the moment is often gone. |

I think the best idea that won't crowd up the screen is instead of displaying full names, go with the speech bubble as stated before, or put a number be side each name on the list 1-6 and put the corresponding number over the chevron of the player.

I would love to see this, too !! But it falls in the realm of resources not already inside the client, therefore would probably require a client patch. It is my understanding we are trying to avoid that as much as possible. However showing up the squad member names was already part of the game at one time so the resources are already there. It might be a very simple implementation to bring it back, hopefully. |

If only we could 'ping' a player to tell them they are in danger or that they want a lift in a vehicle... (would be abused by idiots, but it's easy enough to lock a squad and kick out the retards.)
Sadly no chance of this along with ever fixing the no squad commands from inside vehicles, thanks to "no more patches... ever." |

Perhaps I am mistaken? I seem to remember getting all the blueberry info without pointing directly at them, correct me if I am wrong, though. It was indeed too much, there was a devblog about removing clutter from the HUD, too. But bringing it back just for squad mates would be so wonderful.
It was before they moved the efficiency information to the bottom right of the screen. |

It's pathetic, that you can't adress squad members in the distance even if you scan them with your weapon. Bring sqad names back...

Yes. Yes. Yes. Squadmates names should be seen both onscreen and on the map in general (When in the neocom in the middle of battle.) The rest of the team needs to be programmed to where you look directly at the blue ensignia and see their name, no matter where they are. Currently, you can only see their names at the effictive range of the rifle you're using. How it should work is that if you look at a specific blue dot on the map, his name should pop up, no matter how far away or obstructed he may be.
Please? PC battles would be so much more easily coordinated with this functions return.
