The upgrade is coming. I've tossed the idea around so many times and come up with a different conclusion each time I think about it. I can watch videos, read articles, ask friends etc... about which do they prefer, and talk myself into a different decision each time.
Possibly I'll get both sooner or later, but the projected Christmas list is looking pretty stout already and unfortunately I can only allow myself one over another. So for all of you out there with experience on both platforms what are your opinions on the few areas that leave me choosing one over the other.
Personally I start leaning heavily towards pc, but these are the areas that make me question. Cheaters, hackers, whatever you call them. People using aimbot, wallhack, etc, types. I've heard/read you get those on pc, whereas I've never experienced that stuff on ps3. Sony does a pretty decent job as far as security and keeping the trash out of games. Yet, this is coming from someone who doesn't play online pc games to compare.
Social aspect, I can log on and see who online hop in game w someone without having to look them up. Is there anything like that in pc world? Or do you have to text or email someone "hey, you online, what are you playing?
Bang for buck, I'm not gonna go out and buy the top of the line $1000+ dollar pc, are the rigs I read people building in the $400-$500 range gonna be a disappointment, or am I not gonna be able to tell the difference? I like the small step upgrade ability factor about pc and will eventually get to a better build when funds allow, but is the initial purchase gonna leave me saying, "I shoulda went w ps4 first"?
Video sharing/editing on ps4? How it it, a joke? Or is it a built in capture card?
Amount of people playing pc? Popularity? You know when there is a larger pool of people playing a game, its easier to get put in a lobby of people closer to you and you have less laggy/latency more fun matches. Are there say 100,000 people playing whatever title on ps4, but only 10,000 on the same game on pc?
I'll stop here at the moment, I'd hate to overwhelm whoever is gonna take the time to answer these stupid questions. And a pre-thanks to whoever indulges my ignorance.
