Repetitive, boring, and very limited of where I can go. Bungie = Makes bs excuses. They had a $500million budget and we get this crap. Very few weapons, only a few worlds to explore, and the game is not worth $60. Its probably worth $1. Dont even get me started with Paying for Expansions = No just No. Many games not all but some games you pay $60 and in 3 months or less. The DlC whoring aka ripping everyone off. R.I.P Destiny. Score 1/10

I'm disappointed by how much they're trying to milk it for cash and how overhyped it's been, but it's not a terrible game.

Not terrible at all, but given the budget, the time and the quality of environment they have now, its hard not to see the way they are pushing it as anything more than a horrid money grab.
Blizzard is trying to turn it into the FPS version of WoW. I find it insulting they would even try it in the first place.

Well considering Bungie said they didn't spend even close to 500 million on development....I wonder how much the actual production cost was vs marketing cost.
My general rule is that if I get 1 hour of gameplay for every dollar I spend on the game, that's a good deal for me. So while Destiny is not the second coming of the messiah in video game form, I've found enough time and enjoyment in it to feel like I got my money's worth.
I just refused to hop of the hype train because it was obvious it was going to derail on release. It's a fun game, just not as good as everyone was led to believe it would be.

CCP needs to reverse engineer Destiny's controls, and they should take some notes on their enemy AI which is excellent. I worry the AI in Legion will be very amateurish and will really bring down the PvE aspects. DUST has Destiny beat hands down in terms of PvP. There is so much depth, risk/reward, tactics, strategy, fittings, interesting weapon options, etc. Destiny has more polish though and getting that into DUST and eventually Legion should be a major priority.
Best PvE idea ever!

Over 50 Million SP and almost full proto in all Caldari Suits. No matter how hard CCP tries Dust just won't die on PS3/4

Destiny was the most fun I've ever had with a $90 game.
Unfortunately it was over in a week.
And it was the only $90 game I've ever bought.

The loot system is so frustrating, that I've begun to hate getting purple engram's because I know they're just gonna be blue.
They patched the Treasure Cave, the only halfway decent way to get loot after you get all your marks for the week.
The Queen's Bounty is worthless. Who wants level 20 blue items that you need to be level 24 to get?

Ccp made a 10 year with Dust. Now its not happening.
In addition, Bungie has a 10 year contract with Desinty. I bet the following year. Bungie will introduce Destiny for PC and everyone will Flip out.
Yet the Destiny fanboys call it a "MMO" the art work, sound, and the music is awesome but the rest is just boring.
With Dust, Dust has a good number of maps, not many gamemodes, no trade, nor pve but there are a million ways to make your dropsuit by adding modules, damage mods, weapons, ect... thats what keeps Dust alive but I sure wouldn't mind if they could bring back the old tanks, lavs, and dropships along with the Precision Rifle and the Caldari outpost map.
Overall with Destiny it was just a Huge fail in my view. Way too much hype, not enough weapons, suits,ect... what hurts more is Bungie had a $500 million budget what the beep did they do with all that money and the story mode is just nothing. Ai just braindead.

It is a bad game you might be to stupid or blind to see it, but meshed up mechanics of other people games into an 8 hour long grind with no story. While you hate to believe you were duped we were. Will it be a good game later? Maybe but the population will die off long before then.

I like Destiny, but it is pretty derivative -- it's taken a lot of elements from Borderlands 2, like Tower = Sanctuary, Bounties = Bounty Boards, tiers of weapon classes (Banshee-44 = Marcus Munitions), Skill tree you can respec at will to take on different missions/bosses. The truth is, BL2 does it all way better, much funnier, with a much better story.
Claptrap vs Ghost? I love having Tyron Lannister as a story companion, but it's not even a contest as to how entertaining which one is.
The dancing is cool though -- if you finish a Public Event with a bunch of randoms, everybody takes a few moments to shake their ass for a bit, then jumps on their speeders off to wherever they were headed beforehand... it's cute. But even the dancing element is derivative; Lost Planet 2 had this (which I'm sure took it from earlier games before, just can't recall any at the moment).
If you like BL2-style games, you'll probably like Destiny; if not, you probably won't. You could definitely wait for the first price drop on Destiny, though.

The only thing OP in MAG was the knife . Good times slaughtering Sver and Valor.
If only MAG was on the Playstation Now service. I would pay any amount to play it again. Im 70% with trophies.

Why do they need to bother with enemy AI, when theres no PVE?
Also, why do they need to mimic their controls? The magnetism of AA is.very high so take that into account.

Sounds like it's not a game for you then. I'm personally enjoying it. Hell, DUST 514 is repetitive, or did you miss that fact. Same thing, over and over, same maps over and over. Shoot this guy in the face, and that guy. At least destiny has something to do other than shoot other players in the face.

I would've bought it yesterday since I was at GameStop, but I remembered how boring the game was. Maybe when the Game of the Year Edition comes out with all the DLC at half the price of the current one without DLC. |
