With an opportunity like this, joke or parody names never crossed my mind. I think these choices fit with the lore pattern we've had for the past two years, and in the end, CCP chose to not throw out tradition. I can't say I blame them.
"In addition, youGÇÖll be given thirty copies of this new weapon."

Waking up saturday morning and having to stretch in the morning before playing video games because im so sour from standing up all of yesterday from playing video games was one of the lowest points in my life(might be over exaggerating but i can say i applied for my college classes the day after the event was over because i was just thinking "WTF did i just do this weekend". I did get to name a weapon in one of my favorite games so i can't say i regret it but it was excruciatingly long.
+1 I was passed out for about a day after it was all said and done. The worst part was not knowing the results.
