Personally I don't run shield extenders because, let's be honest, you're going to die anyway. It's a fairly cheap fit though so it shouldn't matter too much. On my fits I currently run sidearm damage mods because they're amazing and it's kill or be killed when you're running knives. After delta I'll be running bolt pistols quite a bit on my knife fits but SMG makes a great pairing. Damps if you don't want to be seen, kincats of you want to go fast, and you basically need ADV or proto knives. Don't mess around with the STD ones. And for gods sakes man, get those engineering skills up! Stabby-stabber extraordinaire I stabbed Rattati once, you know.

Although, if you really want my honest advice, I'd suggest just holding off on the knifing until you have your Cores up and at least Lv4 Min Scout. Knifing fits are risky, and they generally won't get consistent performance unless you go all-out. It's an extreme glass cannon fitting, and it suffers significantly from even the slightest shortcoming or compromise. Also, most other scouts will probably disagree with me on this, but there's no reason to limit yourself to sidearms on a knifing fit. It takes a bit longer to get used to either double tapping or using the EQ wheel out of the cloak, but once you get it down, it won't put you at a disadvantage on the switch. It will, in addition, make you much more versatile in situations where you are unable to use your knives. Most of my knifing fits use some type of CR.

I made this suit to get rid of Thale's, but found it unusually worthy on the field. If you're good with the knives, you'll be relying on them to kill your enemies, and your speed to get into the kill, and out of the vicinity quickly. Once I get my Knife Fitting Optimization up, I'll go ahead and work on the SMG's to try to fit a STD shield extended.

Also, he said he's working with Lv1 Elec/ENG.

Aria Gomes The dyst0pian Corporation 532	Posted - 2014.09.24 23:54:00 - [7] - Quote On the M/1 I'd suggest one shield extender, a precison enhancer(it uses no PG which is a good thing for Min Scouts), any weapon is good with nova knives sijce the NK deal equal damage to shields & armor. I use four different weapons with my knives. SMG, Bolt Pistol, Scrambler Pistol and Combat Rifle. Also maybe one kin cat on your suit, just a basic for now sibce they're PG heavy. I would recommend getting your PG up though, lvl 5 for PG is your friend. CPU you should upgrade but more so your PG more since as a Min Scout you have less of that. Also modules that are eWar centric won't cost you PG minus codebreakers & biotics. But yeah main things for Min Scouts are biotics and dealing a lot of damage with your knives. I got lvl 5 PG and lvl 4 CPU(i think), I use one or two precision enhancers(compared to the other scouts our eWar is crap so I like to make up for it with eWar modules), one or two kin cats or a damp with a cat. Then one shield extender. For my weapons it's usually only sidearms. Sidearms>Light weapons to me, but then again I'm an average player. I hope you have fun with your Min Scout though :) It's a ****** suit but a great suit at the same time.

I always suggest making multiple fits for different purposes, and in your circumstances with limited fitting capacity, this may be most beneficial to you. Also, Flux Grenades FTW. Don't give those up. I just got the C-7 Fluxes 2 weeks ago. Great for clearing equipment.

Can't say I agree there. KCs use a lot of CPU/PG, along with SEs (which really can help your survivability). Adding a scanner just uses more fitting space that could probably go toward something much more useful. Scanning also results in a period when you are neither cloaked nor running, which isn't a situation you want to ever be in as a Minja. Flux grenades are a necessity for hacking objectives. A knifing fit makes a lot of sacrifices, so it needs to utilize every strength it has, hacking speed is one of those strengths. Scout mk.0 1x CPX Shield Energizer 2x CPX Shield Extender 1x CPX Profile Dampener 2x CPX Kinetic Catylizer BK-42 Assault Combat Rifle Ishukone Nova Knives Flux Grenades Ishukone Cloak Field Basically, this fitting is made to be a CQC hit-and-run Minja. The Energizer might seem to be an odd choice (it was a Recharger before Delta), but it sacrifices <10HP in exchange for a recharge rate just short of 70HP/s, without using any PG. It is fast enough to penetrate a group of enemies, kill 1-2 particularly dangerous targets, then escape whoever is left over. The ACR and SEs give it the ability to fight limited engagements at extended range, while DM/PE sidearm fittings would have to retreat. When escaping, it has enough shields to take a few hits, and it can completely regenerate its shields in 4 pulses once it is safe. Like others have said, Cores first, then dropsuits and weapons. You can make a decent knifing fit with a Lv3/4 scout, but not without investing in your Electronics, Engineering, and Profile Dampening skills.

Id use this fit. 2 enhanced extenders 1 precision enhancer 1 damp (prioritize this over the precision when fitting) 1 cardio (even basic is pretty cool on minmatar) CR/NK Flux <-clear the letter Arn cloak / nano for more flux nades. 1) i hate pg/cpu upgrade mods with the fire of a thousand suns. (i highly advise upping core skills) 2) i dont know if you do or not but try not to get used to decloak NKing (shotgun style. we all know the method). Stalking without a cloak active builds better tendencies i think. Also kinda why i never put NKs in the first slot. 3) dont fall into the NK mindtrap. First dampeners , then shields to 5 ( have em to 4 ) and finnaly Engineering and CPU. Otherwise, you'll be gimping your suits in an effort to use them before your cores really allow them to shine. It takes a bit of patience, but this should help you be more successful with your suits when you unlock them. Second, I'd suggest you hold off using anything but STD suits until you get proto unlocked. For scouts more than any other suit, having the bonus to cloak PG/CPU usage is critical to fitting them out. IMO, of course.
