Caldari Assault. Nuff said. Salute to the assault players. Boy has it gotten even tougher for the assault mercenaries. It's no joke out there.

Im an assault with the hyperawareness of a scout. So my main problem is making newb mistakes or being outplayed.

Hard mode is using a Stnd PLC with a Stnd Scrambler pistol. It's really fun to run though nothing like taking out a Proto suit with a PLC :)

Cal assault is really not as hard as you make it out to be. In fact, Caldari assault is arguably the second best assault suit when it comes to tanking, especially with the new profile changes. Know your role and play to your strengths. |

What about PLC/Ion Pistol? (Pre Delta)
Or dual wielding Flaylock Pistols? (Pre Delta)

I tried PLC with flay lock pre delta that was almost impossible to kill anyone. I was lucky too get a 2 Kdr in a match

Caldri assault is not hardmode but yes if your a bad player then the suit not going to make you get good all of a sudden.

There is an argument to be made that the original four suits CCP put into the game:
- Amarr Heavy
- Caldari Assault
- Minmatar Logistics
- Gallente Scout
are still the best suits in the game, for their respective roles.
The slow blade penetrates the shield.

Love my cal assault!
Personal hard mode: basic cal scout, dmg mods in highs, range amp in low, hive & cloak, smg or mag sec, RR.
Now duplicate the fit & change out the RR for ScR.
Switch fits after each death. It's madness when your in close quarters, think you have you RR & hold down the trigger then find that small delay was not the spool time but charge time and not a single shot has left.
Or
See somone would could use a charge shot to the head, but instead you give away your position.
Have you considered a career in costumed aggression?

Try minmatar scout with a PLC and flaylock. Not as tough after delta, but your ass will still be hurting.

also i just went proto in caldari assault as well as just bought the caldari bpo assault and am incredibly happy with caldari suits.
no way is caldari hard mode.

hard mode is Amarr starter fits. they have like no low slots, so you can't even fit in an armor repair. At least a miltia scrambler rifle (in the right hands) can scare away scouts.

The Amarr militia has 1 low slot. It's the Minmatar militia that doesn't have low slots. That's why I said Minmatar medic starter fit earlier as a new character fresh out of the academy; ****** suit with a ****** weapon (militia AR).

That's a joke right?
If you do not look at Bonuses the Caldari Assault is the Best Assault suit in the game. (it was the first assault suit so that's expected)
You know what you can do with the Caldari's shield stats if you Pure Shield tank that?
A ******* lot, it's not some weak pissant suit that everybody wants it to be but that suit is a battle hardened mother ****** just waiting to be utilized by the masses but can't because DUST players are too damn stupid to know how to properly play and fit a shield suit.
Even if you Hybrid Tank it It's an Effective Hybrid tanking suit as well due to armor being easier to get more of than sheilds.
This is what Hard mode is: Flying a Basic grimness dropship and not having it destroyed for more than half the match.
