Yeah I'm a scrub, skilling into the new FOTM
-15% damage against my 800 shields? 70 hp/s regen? Extra damage for my HMG against armor sentinels to add more with prof bonus?
Long-range sidearm that picks off heavies? 250% damage for headshots?
Yeah, this is so freaking OP it's not even funny. When I was playing the MCC my kdr was **** because of how much I've been playing Destiny. First match today? 27/1.
btw, I wish I could be recording right now. As soon as I get home It's going to be the first video I'll do in a while...if I can get done with the other one I was working on. Ugh, so many videos I want to do, and so much Destiny to play...

I can't even recall the last time I lost a 1:1 with a cal sentinel in my amarr sentinel. Perhaps that will change.... |

You can stare at numbers all you want, but that doesn't change my on-the-battlefield observations.
Do you find yourself killing Amarr Sentinels with your new Cal Sentinel?
FWIW, I just got back from a match where I destroyed 3 proto Cal Sentinels with my Dren Amarr w/bHMG, but perhaps they weren't very good....and one was running a regular HMG. |

You know I think this is a good thing, I swear right now everyone thinks so many different things are OP. Over time we will see, but if right now what I see is to be believed, a lot of different stuff is either fun or viable. That's good.
But yea we shall see over the next week or two.

The Amarr sentinel has 15% resistance versus HMG, which makes a big difference:
HMG vs Amarr shield - 85% profile, -15% resistance, overall 70% damage
HMG vs Amarr armour - 115% profile, -15% resistance, +15% proficiency, overall 115% damage
So if 2/3 of Amarr tank is armour, it's taking an average of 100% damage ([115+115+70]/3=100)
HMG vs Cal shield - 85% profile, overall 85% damage
HMG vs Cal armour - 115% profile, +15% proficiency, overall 130% damage
So if 2/3 of Caldari tank is shield, it's taking an average of 100% damage ([85+85+130]/3=100)
The above suggests that profile, resistance and proficiency pretty much even themselves out. |

Edit: Flux grenades are a joke you guys. Out of the few matches I played today, I was fluxed once out of 100+ encounters, and was able to regenerate my shields back before the sentinel could even get close enough to deal any damage to me.
I died many more times to nova knives for some reason today than I have in my entire Dust career, but not a single one of the proto sentinels had flux grenades and I killed every one of them.
Can you do some minmatar speed heavy in that vid too? |
