An hour into it, and it seems more complicated than the average MMORPG. I like it. Plus, the tutorial is WAAAAY better than Dust's. Awesome music, as well. It takes a while to get used to the menu, though. I'm used to having my skills in a quick menu.
There is so many things I could do, that I'm overwhelmed haha |

Get the weapon to about V (IV is enough to start off with), get related support skills to III/IV (if you need to know what the support skills are ask in help channels, something like: "what are the support skills for small hybrid turrets?" and I'm sure people should help out.
REALLY Important core skills that you must get eventually are: CPU Management V Power Grid Management V Weapon Upgrades IV/V Advanced Weapon Upgrades III/IV (requires Weapon Upgrades V)
Also for tank, you will want:
For armour: Hull Upgrades V Repair Systems III/IV
For shields: Shield Operation V Shield Management IV Tactical Shield Manipulation III/IV (DO NOT TRAIN TO V, IT IS USELESS)
And finally a list of boring skills to throw into the mix that are too important to ignore, but not important enough to bother unless you're really patient and long-term oriented, unlike me:
Navigation V Spaceship Command V Evasive Maneuvering IV/V Acceleration Control IV/V Fuel Conservation IV/V High Speed Maneuvering III/IV Afterburner III/IV Propulsion Jamming III Thermodynamics III(Fun for hardcore PvPers once you get the hang of it) Capacitor Management III/IV Capacitor Systems Operation III/IV Target Management IV Signature Analysis III Long Range Targeting III
May have missed some things but that's a good start at least until you get into EVEMon and start to develop your own skill plan. It took me 2-3 months to settle down and stop changing the plan though, so expect lots of jumping around depending on what you feel like. Don't fight it and force yourself to train super long skills. I made myself get a Cruiser skill to V in my second month, and that whole month was spent bored to death. Enjoy the early days!

At the moment, I'm planning on rep tanking. Is it in any way viable? I was also thinking of playing market like Tech said, but I really want to get to PvP. Not really sure how the isk world's here, yet, though.
