Maken Tosch wrote: The problem with domination matches is that they are poorly laid out. The objective is usually situated in a location where it can be easily be covered by snipers, massholes, or burst HMGs. Case in point is Fracture Road -- aka King of the Hill -- where the objective is literally on the peak of a hill where the central tower structure provides an elevated platform for covering the objective from above which is conveniently facing their side. Whoever establishes themselves here first has effectively won the match long before the MCC has been destroyed or before either side is cloned out. You need a very good team to take that objective from the opposition and even then you will need to sacrifice a large number of clones to do so. The map will need to be redone to balance it out.
I like that map- I've gotten a fairly high K/D on that map plenty. You just need to find a spot overlooking the objective and snipe all the redberries off their perches! I had a squad of 3 snipers once, and we cleared it (their uplinks ran out too, which helped). We still lost, but we did get A back for a wee while. |

I just played a load of ambush matches and they were pretty even. The oms matches were really one sided (partly because both teams spawned next to each other and the reds took out a tank and spawn killed us -.-)
But I've been in a few today where both sides went to 0 clones.
I was never in matches that close before |

But dom/skirmish is nowhere near as balanced - I was just against 11 players from 2 'good' corps. My side had 4 from one corp, 2 from mine and 10 blueberries. We were cloned while they had over 100 clones left. |

I think that it needs to be adjusted based on squads and corps - a squad should have x numbed of points. This could be made up by giving each corp an Mu in the same way mercs have. If it's a squad of random blueberries, all of their corps Mus are added together and divided by the number of mercs in the squad. That number is then used in the team balancing equation somehow. |

Need to stomp newbie matees again ei" Nope balance is good how it is boyo
Don't get me wrong, sometimes it is, but other times it's worse than before.
I was in a match the other day where the reds were pinned against their redline before the 4th clone died (they'd lost 2, we'd lost 1). |
