CCP made bank from this event? A friend and corpmate squeezes his pennies until they scream and he still bought a $0.99 starter pack for the 3-day active booster.

I feel like most people didn't even know about the event because they don't visit the forums.
Then the people that do visit the forums have enough sp or just don't care anymore, myself included.

Sony doesn't charge for those, its just CCP not wanting to spend the time..

A client side update would be exciting. This game is pretty much the only game I play on PS3. Im even looking into getting a better HDD to optimize my Dust experience.

From what I understand is that an HDD doesn't improve your speed or frame rate, but simply gets you to deployment faster.

Dust 514 has not earned that level of commitment from me... especially considering Dust 514 will never have PvE. Depending on what I see in hotfix echo and foxtrot, I might go back to buying 30-day boosters again. $15 a month isn't much, but multiply that times 1,000 players and Dust 514's financials are looking better.
And you are right, us buying more AUR does not guarantee CCP will do anything at all with Dust 514. They could pocket the money or put that money towards Legion's development. I'll give you that.

You'll get a lot less weird deployment/loading errors and crashes with an SSD. And you'll always be one of the first in the match. If you like spawning vehicles, an SSD is probably a must for that reason alone.

But if CCP is making good money on DUST, it makes good business sense to continue to invest in that product, to continue that revenue source.

and I skip that too. Also gmail doesn't sort CCP's mail in my main inbox (I don't know how to change that). I didn't even notice the message until last night. I lol-ed that the Gal-logi is the only one dying on the picture.

With Gmail, the easiest way is to create a filter (Filters are in Gmail's settings) for emails from [email protected] and then tell it which category to put it under. (Also, you can specify for Gmail to never mark it as spam while you're at it.) "Categorize it as Personal" will ensure it hits your main inbox.
