can anyone that plays confirm that it is happening? is it a hack or problem with dust. definitely not a controller problem on my end, and seems to be growing as the time goes by. at first 1 or 2 weekly so I blame controller. go spend 50 bucks on new one now I seem to run into it 20 times a day. it is a valid problem either way and always seems to be the same players and/or corps. can a dev or anyone else shed light to said glitch? |

It's a sprint + fire issue. However you can use this to fire your gun forever. The level of kick is pretty hilarious. The safe thing is the weapon in this state does not do damage. It can be use to a psy warfare effect in supression of cooridoors.

I've had it happen with pretty much every weapon. forge hmg rail rifle and my favorite third volley lock on with swarms. for example swarm won't lock on stationary lav or tank but the supply depot or blaster clear of vehicle it locks on. obviously I'm speaking of in range target not out of range and after the first two volley's have impacted target. then there's always the infantry you see coming that don't really have a chance but you pull your weapon up to fire and that's all you get the pull up. I've been in since beta as well and play pretty much every day it only seems to be happening since hf Charlie, and it always seems to be the same players and corps that it happens against. that fact probably would have slipped by if I had not gotten the new controller, it's like when you look at the player list before battle and know you're going to have the hive spam lag if you pay attention you know when you're going to have the same problem with the no fire glitch. all the veterans know what I mean about equipment spam and we all know which corps to count on it happening. I would compare it to lag switching seeing how only one of us actually gets to shoot and when it happens it's always them getting to pull the trigger, or the now famous full auto basic scrambler rifle made possible by the modded controllers. yes we all know the game has it's failings, but I don't think that this glitch is ccp related I think it's player related. things do happen inadvertently though could be a ccp thing. |

i get a similar glitch EVERY time i hack something while using my HMG i have to spam the trigger to get it to fire after i stop hacking

have had it happen like that, but also during open fire fight. ambush, dom, skirm, and fac war, doesn't have one specific battle type or map for that matter it has happened in all. doesn't matter about weapon happens with all of them too. last night guy comes toward installation I'm uphill of it and him obviously he doesn't see me he runs to hack. I've been trying from the garage on the end of the bridge to the installation to shoot him no fire 40 meters or more of targeting with rail rifle well in range got the pull up but no fire. he gets to the blaster pulls his arm to hack then the same trigger pull it fires I had been looking down sights with a constant pull on the trigger but no fire till he starts to hack. like I said before I don't believe this is a problem with the game, the more it happens like that the more I think it's the players you encounter that are doing it. |

but the hmg, smg, and swarm don't have a charge time. lock on yes but when two volleys have already connected on a stationary vehicle and the third won't lock with target box inside recticle. |

I have a similar problem with knives.
For a very long time it has been the case that you can hold a charge, and then if you move and release at the same time you often don't get a knife slash. It is rather because I wasn't sprinting and it ends in immediate death.
